Suicide Squad

Jared Leto's performance in Suicide Squad is described by this page as having "received some praise from critics despite his character's limited screen time." That is not an accurate portrayal of the critical reaction to his performance, which was panned in most reviews. The original claim has 2 sources, a single non-representative review and a Rotten Tomatoes page on which most reviews say that his performance was not good. My edit to try and reflect the negative consensus on the performance was reverted by @Earthh for "combining material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any source." What mistake did I make in my edit, and how can I change it to reflect the overall negative critical reaction towards Leto's performance more accurately? And if there is no proper way to update it, can the claim that his performance was acclaimed at least be removed, since it is highly misleading? Thank you for any feedback you can give with this and for helping me to become a better editor. ChicagoCinephile (talk) 05:00, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That editor has a long history of reverting and removing anything negative about Leto, his brother and their works in an attempt to rewrite history and pretend nothing negative ever happened, such as box office flops and critical failures. He even tried to pretend that Leto's performance in Morbius was acclaimed because one person praised him, despite countless reviews bashing his performance. You should go ahead and add that text back if you feel like it, but they'll keep reverting it. This issue has been going on for years and probably won't stop. The current entry reads:

On July 30, 2022, it was announced that Leto would star in a film directed by Justin Simien titled Haunted Mansion for Disney. The film is scheduled for release on July 28, 2023.[128]

This page needs to be updated to be more current and show that Haunted Mansion has already been released Bobaroba55 (talk) 04:34, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
