@Gamaliel: @Rosiestep: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pray-526 looks to be a sensible source on the father. I don't know who H. A. V. is, who signed the obituary in the Magazine of Poetry; but they wrote other obituaries there, and so they may not have had any direct knowledge. That looks like an unreliable source.
