Rare charactes

Jungle Beat bosses

Should the 4 Kong bosses from Jungle Beat be listed here? Are they in any way related to DK?

Baby Kong

Merge

Neither article currently establishes notability. Diddy Kong may have some potential, but unless someone actually wishes to work on it, it would be best to merge it here until such a time. K. Rool doesn't have any real chance of being improved, though. TTN (talk) 18:25, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think Diddy has appeared in too many non-Donkey Kong games for this to be a viable sole home for him, regardless of the status of his article. Best to leave it alone. And while *every* article has a chance to be improved, K. Rool *could* work here if his text can be brought into reasonable amount without losing information. No deadline is necessary. If consensus to merge is not reached, they do not merge. Improve the articles by all means (again, Diddy should be easier than K. Rool), but there are no deadlines here. Rhindle The Red (talk) 17:21, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NFCC issues

The NFCC issues here appear to me to mirror the issues being discussed at

the NFCC talk page, and should be reslved in the same way. The underlying issue is simple: when use of a single image is considered acceptable in a stand-alone article on a subject, does the use become unacceptable when several such stand-alone articles are combined, based on editorial judgement, into a more general article, such as a list, with essentially identical content. I'm confused...

There is something that needs to cleared. The article says that cranky kong was the original Donkey Kong and that the modern Donkey Kong is his grandson. But in the same article they claim that Donkey Kong JR ( the son of Crankey Kong/ Donkey Kong original) is grown up to be the modern DOnkey Kong. That can not be true since the modern Donkey Kong is the grandson, that makes Donkey Kong JR the father of the modern Donkey Kong.

Vandalism Warning

The non-existent character "Jaking Kong" has been added to, and subsequently deleted from, this page three times by IP user 123.198.8.94. A quick Google Search can show that no such Kong exists. Contradictions in the article

This article contradicts itself in the relationship between Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr.

First, the things I am taking as fact from the article: Cranky Kong is the Donkey Kong from the original arcade game. Donkey Kong Jr. is the son of the original Donkey Kong.

The article states that the current DK is Cranky's grandson, but then goes on to state that the current DK is DK Jr. grown up. DK can't be both DK Jr. and his son. Whoops, forgot to sign. eyeball226 (talk) 15:00, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Retconned"

Donkey Kong (current) is not a retcon of the original Donkey Kong. The original Donkey Kong became older and became Cranky Kong, while the new Donkey Kong is a different character.

Inclusion of Kongs in Super Mario Movie

With the Super Mario Bros. Movie slated to release in 1 month, would it be appropriate to include descriptions of the Kongs’ appearances in the film here on this article? Aside from Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong, photos show Diddy, Dixie, Funky, and Swanky making cameos in the scene where Mario and Donkey Kong battle in an arena. Thoughts?
