Gathering sources

It's still way early, but if anybody wants to create a character article for Frieren but some sourced dedicated one for the title character if somebody is interested.Tintor2 (talk) 21:45, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ton

Anime News Network, which was reliably sourced for the list of characters multiple times, took the episode 23 credits and confirmed Taito Ban as Ton's VA. Here is the link to their list: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=26334. Also, Gorilla Warrior should be added to character list, because he will definitely show up again, just like Sein. 92.80.89.17 (talk) 09:01, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WP:A&M/ORS. ANN is a reliable source, but not their encyclopedia, so whatever is "confirmed" there doesn't mean anything. Also, where are you getting that "he will definitely show up again, just like Sein"? Did you talk to the authors? Xexerss (talk) 09:40, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply

Well that is odd, because Taito Ban's name in Japanese 版 泰斗 is literally in the episode credits, second to last at 22:52. I would attach a screenshot if I could. Also, the Sein plot is very much relevant, and based on the writing so far, it will certainly be addressed, but I concede on that part, because I will only read the manga once season 1 is finished, so I do not know yet. 92.80.89.17 (talk) 11:38, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Behind the voice actors

I noticed that reference number 5 in the list goes to Behind the Voice Actors site which is also reliable for these kinds of citations then, if it is used a s a reference already. As such, I would mention Richter, Lernen and Serie's dub actors are also confirmed there now, Ian Moore, Kent Williams and Anastasia Muñoz, respectively. 92.80.89.17 (talk) 19:29, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, and I saw that Robert McCollum is also confirmed there as the English VA for Orden, so we only need the Sword Village Chief's dub actor now, once Robert is added. 5.2.202.159 (talk) 12:05, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Reportedly Megan Shipman plays her, but I have yet to find a source, maybe she confirms it on social media soon 5.2.202.159 (talk) 14:40, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Behind the Voice Actors has now confirmed Megan Shipman as her 5.2.202.159 (talk) 12:21, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Caitlin Glass is confirmed as Methode's dub VA there now 5.2.202.159 (talk) 12:14, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Behind the voice actors has now confirmed Christopher Sabat as his dub too 92.80.74.167 (talk) 19:14, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Illustration for the main cast

@Xexerss: The list has no images for the protagonists. I thought about adding the cover of the first volume for the case of Himmel since they are recurring in the form of flashbacks as well as the return in that time travel arc. However, I don't know if we should reuse the same image from the series' infobox or cut it to remove the title? There is also a need for an image for the main cast of Frieren, Fern and Stark. I can see volume 7 as useful but there is also the case of Sein even though he was only a protagonist for few chapters from volume 4. Any ideas?Tintor2 (talk) 18:00, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: I'm sorry, but I don't know what would be the most appropriate image. I tried to find a good one a while ago, but I had the same issue. Maybe I'll try again in the future or just leave it to another editor's criteria. Xexerss (talk) 21:27, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I'll see if I can upload two for the lead. My doubt Is that if we should cut the logo of the volumes when uploading the images. Tintor2 (talk) 21:42, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That would be preferable, although when I tried to search for clean covers I didn't find many results. Xexerss (talk) 23:39, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
