Turns in to a bit of a hatchet job half way through the article, doesn't it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by --PRL1973 21:28, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sentence that doesn't make sense

She fought to expel hereditary peers, arguably like herself, from the Lords (although, as an appointed life peer, she wasn't included in the expulsion).

Baroness Jay is a life peer. I therefore wonder in what way hereditary peers are 'arguably like herself'.--

Reference problems

All the references to UK publications go to Highbeam, a site that provides pay access to articles. Please turn them into references to the actual newpaper articles. Contributor tom (talk) 04:26, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Three years later, this problem still remains. I don't want to remove the references, as a paid reference is still better than none, but Wikipedia's policy is to use free-to-access references wherever possible. Replacements should be found. Robofish (talk) 23:09, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
