Where can we reach Governor Mark White right now? We want to speak with him. thanks! Art Thornton—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.148.77.147 (talk) 23:52, 5 February 2005 (UTC)
There should be a disambigation between the musician Mark White (bassist of the Spin Doctors) and the governor. --194.114.62.65—Preceding undated comment added at 12:59, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Date of appointment as Secretary of State
Bill Eastland 21:32, 10 July 2007 (UTC)BillEastland 1969 cannot have been the year White was appointed Secretary of State by Briscoe because Briscoe did not get elected until 1972. White was appointed in January, 1973. See http://www.sos.state.tx.us/about/history.shtml
Myra McDaniel
Someone should mention that he appointed Myra McDaniel as Secretary of State. She was the first African American female to serve that office in TX. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.190.134.148 (talk) 05:40, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Vietnam War service
Although White served in the army during the Vietnam War era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served in Vietnam. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of the Vietnam War was removed from the article for now until a reliable ref is found. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 11:55, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Mark White → Mark White (Texas politician) – It is doubtful whether Mark White is the primary subject. Other people with the same name, especially Mark White (musician) and Mark White (bassist) have a similar number of views. Inwind (talk) 04:35, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support... though (musician) and (bassist)? I think we might need further DAB for those pages. Nohomersryan (talk) 05:29, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nom. No clear primary topic for this name. Move disambiguation page to basename. (But I agree, we might want to also take a look at "Mark White (musician)" possibly needing to be further disambiguated from Mark White (bassist).)Paintspot Infez (talk) 13:51, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, Nohomersryan and Paintspot Infez. With seven men named "WP:PRIMARYTOPIC in this particular case. As for Mark White (musician), he might be more intuitively disambiguated as Mark White (keyboardist) or Mark White (singer). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 17:52, 14 May 2020 (UTC)]
- Support. And move Mark White (musician) to Mark White (British musician), which disambiguates him nicely from the American bassist but doesn't focus on only one of his roles. -- Necrothesp (talk) 22:44, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
