Marine?

I don't know if I am just missing it, but I do not see anything in this article about her being Marine. She is listed in Category:Women in the United States Marine Corps but there is nothing on her wiki page. Can someone take out the tag if they can not find a referenced article that suggests she is a Marine? I will check back in 2 weeks and if it hasn't been addressed, I will remove it. I see someone added it. Thank you. Chexmix53 (talk) 17:32, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

World War II service

Although Berg served in the United States Marine Corps during the World War II era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. Accordingly, Category:American people of World War II was removed from the article. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 11:29, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The category header says it is for "People who served in World War II as members of the United States Marine Corps." Nothing states that to be included in the category the person had to serve "overseas in a war zone". That seems to be your interpretation. Tewapack (talk) 20:38, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Per Wikipedia:Categorization, a category should be defining. How is this person's service defining for Berg with respect to having this category included in this article about her? Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 21:55, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It is just as defining as all the other military related categories. Tewapack (talk) 23:46, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How is it defining for this cat to be added to this article? Each cat has to be defining to be added to the article. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 00:08, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
