This article is full of weasle wording and POV. It was actually quite decent before user 206.212.191.54 started trying to push his opinion. I would suggest reverting the article to where it was before this happened. There should, at the very least, be a discussion if user 206.212.191.54 feels like making such significant changes. I'd revert it, but honestly, I don't know how. I apologize if I did not sign this post in the conventional wiki manner. -Cullinarn —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cullinarn (talkcontribs) 03:58, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to this article?! Since when was the existence of Peter the Aleut questioned? I've added a neutrality dispute tag for obvious reasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.234.191.211 (talk) 04:17, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The existence of Peter the Aleut was questioned ever since someone read the story and realized it had no proof and historical inconsistencies. I notice that the "developed" version given here of his martyrdom is already modified to pretend that these historical inconsistencies be overlooked. Instead of saying "Roman Catholic priests" why not give the actual "developed" version and say "Jesuit priests"? Because whoever edited the "developed" version knew that that was not possible, and that including that "fact" would help reasonably to discredit the whole story. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 12:52, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Aleut or Alutiiq

The

Alutiiq (Sugpiaq). The Russian name "Aleut" is Aleut and Alutiiq. The Kodiak Island natives are Alutiiq and not Aleut. Also see: Names derived from a combination of Russian and Native words include: Alutiiq, from the Russian word Aleut (a term something like English "Eskimo" but referring to the people of the Aleutian Islands, the Alaska Peninsula, and the Kodiak archipelago); plus the Russian plural suffix -y; plus the Native singular suffix -q (< http://www.uaf.edu/anlc/resources/anlmap/) --Kmoksy (talk) 14:09, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply
