Claim regarding goal ratio

It says he surpasses Cristiano Ronaldo. He doesn't. 70 in 91 games isn't better than 225 in 216. The same with Messi - he's got 327 in 395, which works out at 0.83 goals per game. 70 in 91 is 0.77 per game. Radamel FalcaoRadamel Falcao García – Radamel and Falcao are only 1st nd 2nd names of footballer. García is surname. He is Colombian, so we must call him by the rules. Variant "Radamel Falcao" is not correct, without surname.Soul Train (talk) 17:05, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the site is not updated at all. 2009?? --Hydao (talk) 07:05, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

--Hydao (talk) 07:33, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on the case... for exmaple Nuno Gomes. Gomes is not his real surname at all, he just adopted it because of Fernando Gomes.

... Anyway, Radamel Falcao is OK, but adding the García doesn't make much difference. But let's see what other fans/editors think about it. --Hydao (talk) 08:48, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Falcao Garcia is not Brasilian or Portuguese, he is Colombian, and article must been in traditional form. "Radamel Falcao" are only 1st and 2nd names. Without surname. This is incorrect. Also, the fact that Falcao Garcia is very popular and common form in press and in newspapers. And it's only your problem if you don't know this fact. Just google it.--Soul Train (talk) 09:18, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm, sorry, yes, you are 100% right. Radamel Falcao García is more appropriate. --Hydao (talk) 09:32, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edited the reference [6] to 'First person to win consecutive Europa League/Uefa Cup titles with two different teams.' Initially said 'European Seasonal titles'. However, both Marcel Desailly, Samuel Eto and others have done that in the European cup. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.189.93.244 (talk) 06:09, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hyperbole and exaggeration

While I have no doubt in my mind that Falcao is indeed one of the best footballers in the world, there is way, way too much hyperbole in the opening paragraph. It is very easy to find a reference/source somewhere on the internet describing a footballer as such and such. The opening paragraph should consist only of achievements, awards, and FACTS. If not, we're open to any sort of exaggeration from Youtube fanboys. The same principle applies to the pages of Messi, Rooney, Ibrahimovic, Totti... whoever. --Tomsega (talk) 10:19, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just removed a welter of peacock/PR language fr/ the article. I know Falcao is a great player, and it's likely that some of what I removed can be referenced. But it read like something written by his agent or some fan. So it's gone. Tapered (talk) 20:08, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've now cleaned this page, and I believe that all of the vandalism is gone. Will also keep an extra eye on the article in the next days. ]

Lanceros Boyaca + Millionarios Bogota

Radamel Falcao played for Millionarios professionally, but in the artical it says he was only trialed, then uses an artical refering to a friendly exhibition between Athletico and Millionarios when he plays for Athletico, and he was allowed to chose to play as Millionarios for the friendly, but he said no. However this does not say he did not previously play for Millionarios as a professional because he did and also as youth. [[ Atban3000 (talk) 13:33, 2 January 2013 (UTC) (User)[reply]

Also he never played for Lanceros as this was only a rumour. Atban3000 (talk) 13:33, 2 January 2013 (UTC) (User)[reply]

Of course he played for Lanceros on second division, that info is everywhere. Stop adding that nonsense millonarios part — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.82.253.85 (talk) 04:03, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

His height needs to be changed to 1.78m which is 5'10" flat. From the screen he looks this tall and there are several sources who back up this height.

Individual honours

How exactly is Falcao the "first player in history to win 2 consecutive European tournament titles with two different teams"?

For a start, Samuel Eto'o did that with Barcelona and Inter in 2009 and 2010 and I'm sure there are others down the years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.171.30.14 (talk) 01:30, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Club List

"Falcao made his debut for Lanceros Boyacá in the Colombian Categoría Primera B (second tier) on 28 August 1999 at the age of 13 years and 199 days, thus becoming the youngest debutant at that level of Colombian professional football." Given this statement, why is the Primera B club not among those listed in his career stats? Kenallen (talk) 17:12, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 1 June 2013

Page states that Falcao is the "First player in history to win 2 consecutive European tournament titles with two different teams". This is false, portuguese player Paulo Sousa won two consecutive Champions Leagues for different clubs. He won them in 1995/1996 with Juventus and in 1996/1997 with Borussia Dortmund. Marcel Desailly and Samuel E'too have also done it. 89.180.35.98 (talk) 03:45, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 27 July 2013

Please change in radamel Falcao: "Age concern In July 2013, it came to light that Falcao's former school, Colegio San Pedro Claver de Bucaramanga, held a registration document that indicates he was born in 1984 whilst his place of birth is actually the Colombian capital of Bogotá." to "A debate over the true age of Colombia star Radamel Falcao was ended as local press published a copy of the striker's official birth certificate from the Santa Marta municipality where he was born on February 10, 1986, proving once and for all that he is indeed 27." There is no need to create an age concern section in his personal life part of the biography.
