On 8 June 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved to Reactions to the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and conflicts. The result of the discussion was not moved.

The existence of this page is absurd. No, no one thinks the Tiananmen crackdown was good, and only a few dictator types would oppose condemning it--but Vancouver is not a unity, and there is no such thing as Vancouver's reaction as such.

This fails on A7 since no significance can be applied to the collective reaction of the persons involved. Indeed, were this article allowed, it would be an absurd precedent, justifying such articles as the
