Expansion request
I haven't time tonight (although I may soon), but there is a big story from this year that missed mention in the related lawsuit coverage from this summer. A large number of expatriates working for TNK-BP were entirely forced out of the country when the government refused to renew visas during the summer power struggle. In all it appears that nearly or over 200 employees were forced out.

The last source, the
Negative slant
I find the TNK-BP wikipedia page to have an incredibly negative slant in favour of BP and against AAR, the Russian owners. Yes the company has had shareholder disagreements, but it is also the most operationally efficient Oil and Gas company in Russia and a market leader in health and safety. It is the third biggest vertically integrated oil and gas company in Russia, and within the top ten private oil and gas companies in the world, yet there is half a line about its operations with the bulk of the page dedicated to the conflicts. This article plays up to the stereotype of dishonest Russian businessmen but makes no mention of what BP had done to upset AAR in the first place. Effectively boxed in in the Russian market with preferential treatment going to state companies, the Russians wanted to expand abroad - BP blocked all these moves. BP were negotiating with Gazprom and were planning to ditch AAR altogether. In the recent dispute over BP's deal with Rosneft, all coverage is on the fact that AAR are making this deal difficult with no comment on how BP have gone against their shareholder agreement with AAR, a fact recently upheld in court in London.
There are two sides to every story but unfortunately only one is portrayed on this page.
And thoughts? I plan to update the page when I have time over the next few days — Preceding unsigned comment added by Russianmarket (talk • contribs) 06:38, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Key people
- What exactly is the problem? The name of Mikhail Fridman is in the article as also it was added to the infobox. What are you suggesting to do? Beagel (talk) 18:39, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
TNK-BP is part of ROSNEFT now
THE COMPANY HAS BEEN BOUGHT BY ROSNEFTTNK-BP has been already bought by the Russian company ROSNEFT, so revenues from TNK-BP should be added to revenues from ROSNEFT.--83.34.223.127 (talk) 06:48, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
Rosneft has bought TNK-BP, so its revenues and profit should be added to Rosneft´s.--83.41.247.132 (talk) 01:10, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
