Noteable-ness

on non-noteable-ness according to Wikipedia:Notability (people)#People still alive, a person is noteable if they are a: "Major local political figures who receive significant press coverage". do i need to grab a handful of articles on him? there are BILLIONS. well, 83,900 google hits atleast. please dont delete, im not a cruft hippy. Highly notable. No question. He was the subject of numerous articles about several issues for several years, in the Oregonian, Willamette Week, Portland Tribune, Portland Monthly. There should be no question on his notability. -Pete 16:42, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed he is notable (even though google is not a good source in my opinon)--Jennifer M 08:02, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, even Hitler was noteable. 166.6.74.243 20:57, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not understanding why the ELF logo is being reverted when included? It's like removing a nazi symbol from hitlers page. The guy is only on here because he is an ELF member and that is the entire focus of his page, and the reason he has his prison sentence. Surely a copyright free logo of the group an individual is a (major) part of should be included? Blueberrypie12 23:22, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, didn't see this note before. Arrow is a public face of the Pacific Green Party and the Cascadia Forest Alliance as well, but his notability rests not on his membership in any group, but his actions. Coverage of Arrow generally focuses on the ingenuity of his Forest Service Building protest, or on the tactics employed against him at Tillamook, or on his alleged leadership in acts of sabotage. Logos are generally included only on the articles directly about the organization; there's a guideline about this. The fact that this particular logo is copyright-free is nice, but the vast majority of logos are not; the encyclopedia needs to be somewhat consistent, and including the logo here would result in an article that looks decidedly different from other biographies. I don't see any compelling advantage that overrides those concerns. -Pete (talk) 08:12, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TILLAMOOK PROTESTERS FACE NO POLICE CHALLENGE

From: The Columbian Date: October 29, 2001 Author: AP More results for: warm+springs+casino+cascade+locks

NEHALEM, Ore. (AP) An injured Tre Arrow made it to Sunday's logging protest in the Tillamook State Forest, but the authorities stayed away. No police were present as activists carried food and water to at least two demonstrators occupying tree platforms in the Acey Line Thin, a state timber sale in Gods Valley north of Nehalem. Leading the activists was Arrow, the former congressional candidate who suffered multiple broken bones Oct. 6 when he fell from a tree he had climbed in hopes of blocking the logging. On Sunday, friends pushed him in a wheelchair much of the way to the timber sale, but he walked the last few hundred yards, his arm in a sling.

Green Anarchism

I don't wanna nit pic here, but neither source for this says anything about him being a "Green Anarchist". The Tribune article used to site this actually states that he is an "environmental activist" and the Toronto Sun article can not be looked up online but the headline claims he is an "Anarchist Eco-Terrorist". I can cite reputable sources that describe him as everything from an "eco-saboteur" to "freelance activist", "refugee hopeful" and to "Alleged Monkeywrencher", but alas, I can find nothing at all from the entire catalog of internet articles on him that claim him to be a "Green Anarchist". We all know he is, though. Original research?? Jonnyhottrod (talk) 04:51, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Jonnyhottrod[reply]
