This article has been mentioned by multiple media organizations: "Thalapathy Vijay and his wife Sangeetha heading for divorce? Here's the truth". Pinkvilla. 5 January 2023. The rumours began after Vijay's Wikipedia page stated that he and his wife are getting divorced with mutual consent. However, this rumour is baseless as the Wikipedia page states nothing as such. "No, Vijay and his wife are not heading for a divorce. Here's what we know". Onmanorama. 8 January 2023. Adding fuel to the fire, Vijay's Wikipedia page also stated that the actor got divorced in 2022.

Vijay is no more an actor he has stopped acting in films after his entry into politics and his 69th film is also doubtful so change the page name to Vijay (politician) and change the occupation as politician and former Indian actor and also change the info box to political standard not film career standard. He has a film coming out this year and another one in the works. Just because he also has started doing something in politics does not mean that's how he's generally known or most notable at this time.
