Name

I don't Know why it is called Volcan de Chiriqui, I live in panama and usually it is just called "Volcan" be is the volcano must panamanian know about and is the tallest mountain indeed. The official name is Volcan Barú.So usually or is called "Volcan" or the "Volcan Barú". So i propose this this article name should be change to Volcan Baru.

This site lists Volcan de Chiriqui as a former name. CIA Factbook uses Volcan de Chiriqui as the name. I'll move the article to Volcan Barú and put (also Volcan de Chiriqui) - Stoph 05:06, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Name of the Volcano

The correct spelling of this volcano's name is Volcán Barú. "Volcan" is a correctly spelled word in neither English nor Spanish. If we want an English name, it might be "Baru Volcano". But no one uses such a name. If we are going to use the accent on the second word, then we should use it on the first word as well. I don't know how to get rid of the redirect from "Volcán Barú", but hopefully someone else can do this. Marco polo 17:28, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I listed a request on
WP:RM (need admin to move because page Volcán Barú already exists), so it will probably be fixed soon - Stoph 04:39, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply

There is no snow falling in the VB: what is really is ice pellets and small hail, not snow. Real snow only happened in the XVIII and XIX centuries

But a lot of reports of snow fall exist!

No ! This is FALSE. There were hail not snow. The pictures show it clearly. the problem is people there never seen real snow. All climatologists and cientists said snow has NEVER fallen in the Volcan Baru, not even in the little ice age it was reported. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxcrc (talkcontribs) 13:02, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
