Polish death camp

"In 1944, in a Polish death camp (...)". Politically incorrect. Polish government might get very angry after seeing this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.40.217.206 (talk) 09:24, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading Description of Box Office Performance

From the main page: "First Class premiered on Ziegfeld Theatre on May 25, 2011, and was released in the United States on June 3, 2011. It was a box office success, becoming the seventh highest-grossing in the film series, and received positive reviews from critics and audiences, who praised its acting, screenplay, direction, action sequences, visual effects, and musical score. "

At the time, it was the fifth film released in the series. First Class ended up 4/5 in worldwide gross and the least profitable X men at the time BigFDawg (talk) 00:17, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to lede

Dark4tune has tried to force through edits to the lead three times now, reverting two other editors in the process. He has promised to discuss the issue on the talk page provided his version stays in situ. That is not how editing on Wikipedia works per

WP:JARGON per "soft reboot". It is not apparent to the reader what a "soft" reboot means in this context. The original version adopts a real-world perspective and explains precisely how what was intended to be a reboot, was ret-conned into a prequel by later films. The original version is clear and factual, whilst the proposed revision introduces ambiguity. If Dark4tune really thinks his re-write is superior, then he should initiate a discussion and find support for his proposed version. Betty Logan (talk) 19:23, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply

Thanks for this, Betty. Agreed that the previous version is better as it touches on the change from the initial plan. The fact that a third editor immediately came in and revised the initial rewrite when Dark4tune first made it gives weight to the fact that the revision did not, in fact, improve clarity.
In addition to the edits on this article, Dark4tune, these other edits suggest you are pushing a personal interpretation of the film franchise and its continuity that isn't supported by the longstanding versions of the articles. I'm tempted to restore the
WP:STATUSQUO version of these. Betty Logan, thoughts? Grandpallama (talk) 20:02, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply
