Name of Yang Xiong in Chinese

"His name written in Chinese is 揚雄, but it is frequently mistaken as 楊雄 in historical documents."

No, they aren't. The second Yang (楊) is a very common Chinese family name; the first Yang (揚), as ytou can see, is written with a different radical and is used e.g. in the name of the city Yangzhou, but is not [as] commonly used as a family name. Vmenkov (talk) 08:45, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
