Boris Djurasic (Борис Ђурашић) is a Montenegrin-American entrepreneur^[1][2].

Media

Djurasic acquired Novi TV in 2020^[3], a television network based in Herceg Novi^[4]. In 2021 Djurasic rebranded Novi TV into Jadran TV and acquired equity in Jadran Radio and online portals^[5]. In 2022 Adria-Jadran Media Group collaborated with the state run RTCG to stream the music festival 'Skale' live on television, internet and radio^[6][7][8].

In 2023 with the support of Serbian Ministry of Culture Djurasic produced a TV series called Muzicka Razglednica (Musical Postcard)^[9]. The project examined how folklore, song and dance have preserved the culture of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro^[9].

Politics

In November 2021 Djurasic became a political director of a political party Slobodna Crna Gora^[10][2]. At the national level Djurasic promoted infrastructure projects as well as expanding commerce with neighboring countries^[11][12]. In April of 2022 he opened a Slobodna Crna Gora office in Bar in preparation for the Mayoral elections ^[13][14]. At the local level Djurasic promoted infrastructure projects^[15][16][17] and the expansion of the Port of Bar^[11][18]. For undisclosed reasons along with other senior members of Slobodna Crna Gora he left the political party and became an independent^[19][20][21].

Film

In 2021 Djurasic was an executive producer for a documentary film Montenegro: A Land Divided^[2][22]. The film describes social divisions in Montenegro and features an interview with Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, as well as prime minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapić, minister of justice of Montenegro Vladimir Leposavić and Matija Bećković ^[23][24].

In 2022 he directed a documentary film Safe Harbor (Sigurna Luka) ^[22][25]. The film examines Port of Bar, its prior significance, its decline over the past 30 years, and the ambitions for restoring its former glories^[26][27]. In 2023 the film had premiers in Montenegro^[18][28]and Serbia^[29][30] and was accepted into the Film Center of Montenegro 2023 Cinema Catalogue^[31].

Sport

In August 2022 Djurasic became the chairman of FK Sloga Stari Bar^[1][32]. FK Sloga Stari Bar is a football club which was formed in 1923 and competes in the Montenegrin Third League^[33][34]. In September 2022 Igor Burzanovic, a former international and fan-favorite, was hired as the coach of the senior team^[35][36][37]. In the first season under new management the team recorded historic wins away against FK Cetinje (2-6)^[38] and home against FK Budva (4-2)^[39][40]. During the second season with a row of positive results FK Sloga Stari Bar sits at the top of the table^[41][42].
