This is not meant for showing off or boasting. In fact you are not even supposed to be seeing this. It matters to me personally because these are the only visible signs I have that anyone has ever appreciated or benefited from the insane amounts of time I have spent writing content for wikipedia. Apart from these small signs of appreciation, all I have ever received for my time spent editing wikipedia is gripe, condescention[sic], and hostility.
