About Me

I am a

lovebird
.

I am currently working in a catering company as a

hors d'œuvres, cheeseplatters and similar). My favorite wikithings to do was working on Dog articles, but I stick my finger into everything. I especially hate plagiarism
of articles, something that can happen too often in this area. Currently, I'm looking for a new project, but have left my dog stuff here for now.

WikiProject Dog breeds

I have exacting standards of what makes a good

Dog breeds
because so many times international standards vary slightly from one another, and sources have different and conflicting information on breed histories.

Remember: your article may be what someone will be looking at when they decide to purchase a dog. Tell them everything you would want to know, or wished you had known.

A dog article should:

  • Have the [Table], no matter how short the rest of the article is
  • Have a descriptive Appearance section, especially if there is no photo, keeping in mind differing standards
  • Use subsections when needed, especially for colour
  • Have other sections about the dog, especially Temperament
  • Avoid using one site for the source; the dog fancy is a complex and differing lot, and information gleened too heavily from one article or website may be biased or even wrong.
  • List the bad with the good
  • Link to national and international breed clubs and rescues in preference to dog breeders or personal home pages, except in cases of unique particular source material
  • Have more than one or two sentences in each section. If a section is that short, the article should probably just be a unbroken paragraph and is probably a stub.
