List of historically significant college football games—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 00:17, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply

Why do you feel these edits are not constructive? There is a discussion of deleting this list because of a lack of objectivity. I am attempting to save the list and improve it by removing such entries. Entries such as those I have deleted are trivial; they are not historically significant by any documented source. 149.76.167.46 (talk) 00:28, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You did not revert one of my edits, you reverted several, thereby negating my efforts and wasting more than an hour of my time. Did you read my comments regarding why I made these edits? Can you defend reinstalling unsubstantiated claims, irrelevant material, subjective superlatives, and obvious fan hyberbole? Are you knowledgeable about early American football? 149.76.167.46 (talk) 00:38, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Consider joining WikiProject College football. We could use your talents. Also, it is not required of course but you could consider making an account as well so you can keep track of your edits. Thanks, ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 01:45, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you both for the complement and the consideration. I have occasionally made changes to pages with info I knew to be inaccurate, but otherwise I have never become involved with these discussions. I stumbled upon this one because I frequently reference this list, and when I saw the deletion discussion, I became concerned. I don't know how Wikipedia works or what the rules are. I struggle with the editing mechanism. (I made my initial edits with the visual editor, but now I can't find it. Where did it go?) I have attempted to clean up the list and make it both more accurate and readable, and I could do a lot more, but my efforts have been rewarded by multiple individuals rolling my edits back. It's happened twice just today! I "unrolled" them and tried to answer the objections, but I imagine someone will delete my additions again. My efforts seem pointless, which discourages me from continuing. Based on the arguments, I imagine the list will be deleted. The list probably does not meet Wiki standards. My assertion, though, is that it does provide valid, certifiable, academic information, but that does not seem to impress anyone. 149.76.167.46 (talk) 19:00, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
