Russian nazis try to push their divorced from the reality own original research, ignoring and destroying proofs submitted on talk pages and blocking users under false formal reasons, thus creating the illusion of their own majority. I think these things are unacceptable to the encyclopedia, which calls itself free. 46.63.38.5 (talk) 19:59, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
  1. understand what you have been blocked for,
  2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
  3. will make useful contributions instead.

Kiev

As I said, a Ukrainian school will tend to utilize Ukrainian spelling norms. Thus, the spelling utilized by the Ukrainian institute is irrelevant to usage in primarily English sources. As for the Kyiv Post, that spelling is most common for that newspaper. English language sources will use "Kyiv Post" (and other terms such as "Dynamo Kyiv") even when they generally use "Kiev" for the actual city. Yes, this is inconsistent. A lot of things in the English language aren't really consistent. This isn't something that is any business of Ukrainians. Do not tell us what words to use in English and we will not tell you what words to use in Ukrainian. I am beginning to get tired of repeating myself. I think that the next time you try to tell us how "wrong" the English language is for using "Kyiv", I will just start pointing out all the incorrect grammar and awkward phrasings in your posts to show that you have no basis on which to present yourself as an expert on "correct" English. --Khajidha (talk) 19:48, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, tell me what words to use in Ukrainian. I don't say that I'm an expert on English, but you tries to ignore all facts and continue supporting original research. And yes, I don't mind to be pointed out my mistakes. Also, welcome to Kyiv! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/32/Kyiv_Boryspil_Terminal_F.jpg 46.63.38.5 (talk) 20:17, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not ignoring facts, simply pointing out that the facts you mention are irrelevant to the policy. Policy is to use the common English name as used in the general corpus of reliable sources. That name happens to be Kiev, as is evidenced by the nearly universal use of that spelling by English language newspapers and television shows when reporting on the Euromaidan and Crimea stories of the past few years. As for your photo, I fail to see what relevance it has. That is the terminal in Ukraine, of course it is dominated by Ukrainian usage. A better test would be how the name is spelled in announcements at Heathrow or Washington Dulles..--Khajidha (talk) 16:18, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The common usage of mistake doesn't correct that mistake, also you haven't proven the common usage except using some excuses. I like how you find Ukrainian influence everywhere in all the world. This is very similar to the Russians, which in all their troubles they find Yarosh business card. To complete the picture, I'll give few additional examples of Ukrainian masonic world conspiracy about Kyiv name from main European newspapers: http://www.dw.de/kyiv-forces-withdraw-from-donetsk-airport/a-18208438, http://www.euronews.com/2015/01/18/kyiv-claims-victory-in-new-battle-for-control-of-donetsk-airport/ and American http://www.voanews.com/content/european-union-ukraine-summit-april/2698313.html. Also don't forget to rename this article about international airport http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyiv_International_Airport_%28Zhuliany%29 because Kyiv is an irrelevant name for your opinion. 46.63.38.5 (talk) 04:50, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Google searches: Kiev, ~137,000,000; Kyiv, ~23,100,000. Specifically Google news searches: Kiev, ~3,080,000; Kyiv, ~534,000 (several of the results on the first page are either from "Kyiv Post" or about "Dynamo Kyiv" and thus don't show general English usage for the city). ngram: https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=Kiev%2CKyiv&year_start=1990&year_end=2000&corpus=15&smoothing=3&share=&direct_url=t1%3B%2CKiev%3B%2Cc0%3B.t1%3B%2CKyiv%3B%2Cc0 Show me major American, British, Canadian, or Australian news reports talking about events in Kyiv. Not English as a second language press from elsewhere, but native English usage. --Khajidha (talk) 12:00, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User User:Ymblanter began writing derogatory posts about Ukraine as a state, harassing Ukrainians and just claim other users as "propagandidts" on the talk page Talk:Odessa. When I pointed out that he was in fact a propagandist because he removed some "anti-russian" articles being an administrator of the Russian Wiki like Путин — хуйло! (Putin khuilo!) he started to use his privileges and block people and withdraw their contributions.
