Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello Ababil0811! Your additions to

suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism
issues.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 18:53, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can you stop blocking someone please Ababil0811 (talk) 07:47, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Gregóry Leozírio Ben Lâmed da Paixão Neto. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:02, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Fernando Natalio Chomalí Garib to mainspace Fernando Chomalí Garib copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Fernando Chomalí Garib. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution
. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is

"Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.  // Timothy :: talk  07:13, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply

  • Comment: If the above process is confusing, in the future if you would like, I will move appropriately sourced artcles from DRAFTspace into the ARTICLEspace (sometimes called MAINspace) for you, or you can get help learning to move draft pages to article space at
    WP:TEAHOUSE
    . Greeting from Los Angeles.
Also this issue is something that frequently happens (I did it with my first article) so its not a big problem, so please don't think anyone is upset. Thanks for contributing.  // Timothy :: talk  07:43, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation

Hello, Ababil0811. I have deleted your article on the archbishop of Bamberg because it was a blatant copyright violation. You have been warned about this issue before. If you persist in using copyrighted material you may be blocked from Wikipedia. Regards, Modussiccandi (talk) 18:27, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read

the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard

to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on

section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/en/bollettino/pubblico/2024/02/23/240223a.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by

visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Moriwen (talk) 17:24, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply
