Speedy deletion nomination of Ignatius de Orellana
Hello AtticTapestry,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ignatius de Orellana for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Hello, thanks for your edit to Yehudi Menuhin. However, it covered up some vandalism that had been done in the previous edit. A tag has been placed on John Devonshire Ellis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Victorian Turkish baths
Hi, I note that you have deleted the category 'Victorian Turkish baths' from the Mounts baths. I expect you have not yet had time to read the revised article on Victorian Turkish baths as it was only uploaded late yesterday evening. The article is about the Victorian Turkish bath as a type of hot-air bath, not as a bath limited strictly to the period of Queen Victoria's reign. In fact the third short paragraph of the initial summary states,
'Hot-air baths of the same type, built after Queen Victoria’s reign, are known as Victorian-style Turkish baths.
So I hope you won't mind too much if I replace the category, and wait a little while to see if there are objections from the baths, or from other editors. If you look at the list of baths still open (which clearly indicates which baths are Victorian and which are Victorian-type) you will find that Mounts Baths have been happily included on this page for nearly 25 years without any protest! Ishpoloni (talk) 15:12, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, replace the category, it seems to be suitable. AtticTapestry (talk) 15:54, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
List of public art in Suffolk
I had to correct the coordinates in
- Thank you for improving the accuracy of the coordinates in the list. I created the list to be like existing lists in Template:Public art in the United Kingdom. I was assuming that the templates for setting up these lists were created by, and used by, editors wiser than me. I am aware that Wikidata item numbers are not often seen in Wikipedia, but perhaps some worthwhile extra information can be found there by viewers. AtticTapestry (talk) 07:12, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- The average reader has no idea what Wikidata is. Perhaps there needs to be a WP:Requests for comment, which I am sure would find putting Wikidata Items into articles extremely problematic. For the time being, I suggest removing such columns for your tables, and, if you feel up to it, the other places you have observed them. Abductive (reasoning) 07:51, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- I removed the wikidata column from the Suffolk list and three other lists, since, although I am not greatly worried about the matter, I agree that to show wikidata numbers is a little odd. These edits for two of them, List of public art in Devon and List of public art in Buckinghamshire, have been reversed by another editor. So there seems to be scope for further discussion about this.
