Well, in IMHO, Scrat "almost died" about a dozen times in the two movies, and I think the sentence "His character has proved enormously successful and many have credited him as the most popular character of the franchise." at the beginning of the article says everything we need to know about his popularity. We don't have to repeat this in the trivia section. --

For first, I do absolutely not disagree with Wikipedia's living-persons policy. That policy is to protect living persons from unfair and wrong statements being made against them. This is just not what this case is about. It is about a person manipulting the talk page so that the sourced accusations made by Alabamaboy against Berenise are not shown any more.

And I can assure you that I do assume absolutely no good faith in the changes: Obviously Mr. Young or someone working for him or willing to do him favors has manipulated this article, and I still say that all readers have the right to know that, because this person has violated what Wikipedia is all about. (And don't even try to mess with me about that point, Alabamaboy's research is totally convincing!)

I also assume absolutely no good faith in your actions, "User:John Bryson" (whose only WP edits is the continuing removal of the accusations from the talk page). I am sure that you are the same person that is behind the changes we're talking about, and that person does show great interest in making Mr. Young look good on Wikipedia. So don't try to turn me into the one doing harm to this project! --

On the page for Parn of Record of Lodoss War, you have swapped an existing image of Parn "pic-parn.jpg" with "parn-rolw.jpg." Is there any reason you have done this, as they are the exact same file? Because of your unnecessary edit, you have orphaned the original uploaded picture with the same picture that you have merely re-uploaded. -Emhilradim 11:29, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see in the edit history of Pic-parn.jpg I tried to change the original picture into the one it is today. But at that time the change simply didn't have any effect, the image kept being the old one even after a second edit. Couldn't make heads or tails of that so I (indeed) re-uploaded the image under a new name, Parn rolw.jpg, confident that an eager editor would sooner or later delete the orphaned one. As for the image, I just chose a version without sword hanging in the air to make it look a little less RPG-Sourcebook-like. Really no evil intentions here ;-) --

Note, that the mainpost.de-article (25. Mai 2009) you added as a source to Christoph Waltz, was in parts word for word taken from the German wiki-entry (14. Mai 2009), as you can see [here] ("machte Waltz als frustrierter Romanautor Charly auf sich aufmerksam") So I doubt that this is an ideal source to add (for biographical facts), as it is clearly not the primary source. Hi, thanks for correcting my language errors. (I'm German and have a keen interest in this whole affair.) - As for the facts involved here, I give you some background information that might be of interest for you. The shredding was discovered only very recently by the investigation committee of the Bundestag (German Parliament). Furthermore they found out that there was an attempted cover-up of the time when that happened (dating it back half a year as a routine procedure). On a Saturday normally most employees are off-duty. (But if you want to tinker with something secretly ... you see.) It all has now grown into a colossal scandal and is even growing ever since! Members of the committee from across all parties are absolutely infuriated and disgusted about these methods and they don't mince words about that. As it turned out, the main reason for the resignation of Mr. Fromm as head of the agency was not so much the files shredding itself (which might have passed as a blunder of some goof), but the cover-up which he saw as betrayal and disloyalty towards himself. Hey there! Guess what, I'm German, too. I know all about the info you've just given me, and believe me, I am really just as outraged by these events as most of us. However, this is Wikipedia, our goal is not to voice outrage, it is to be objective. The official designation of the German domestic secret service is "Office for the Protection of the Constitution", and it is not the only government agency with a pompous name (see the Americans and their "Department of Homeland Security"). The adddition of "so called" suggests that the name is inofficial or widely called into question, which it simply isn't at this point. The "own" is also a phrasing that english speakers would only use to emphasize surprise or outrage, not something you write in an encylopedic artice. And you can't just name something "one of the biggest scandals yet", you gotta give a source for that and then write something like "it is now considered one of the biggest scandals" etc.

Again, I am totally with you where the anger and disgust about this affair is concerned, but our job as Wikipedians is to report the facts of the matter in a neutral way and with good sources (the stuff really needs more sources,too!) so that readers who are less informed can form an opinion on the matter without bias. --

Certainly the article still needs some stylistic refurbishing, corrections of language errors, and perhaps a table of contents. But that's quite a chore! ... And I would leave it to a native speaker and seasoned Wikipedian.
