Thanks for the kind words and suggestion. I agree with you about the photos you suggested. Unfortunately, I can't use those photos without permission. So the ones I've used are all in the public domain. They're not very good. I'd really like to get some color photos. The
WB&A citations
I agree with your preference for citations. You probably know Morris Warren if you are writing about the WB&A Trail and work in Greenbelt. I am on the MD DOT Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (a governor-appointed advisory committee) and attend all the PG BTAG meetings, and I ask questions of all the park officials. So everything I added about the trail came from officials responsible for building trails--though of course I have seen alot if it as well. I didn't put everything in, such as the fact that Mr. Myers put up a sign saying that the trail will never cross the Patuxent, when the PG side first opened, or other more sensitive items that ought not be discussed here. Regarding the rr itself, an old timer recently told me the story about the rails. Basically, a teenager was playing with a pile of scrap rails in the late 30s or early 40s. He was able to pick up one end, he discovered, as heavy as they were. A few rails rolled down the hill near Glenn Dale hospital. He went to war, and when he came back, he remembered the rails, and checked to see if they were still there. They were, so he used a truck to drag them up the hill, and used them to support the main floor. He sold the house in 1977 to a man who sold the house to me in 1981.
I am a novice on Wikipedia, and I am just guessing that this is the way to return a message.
By the way, if you are able to restore a link I tried to add on the Glenn Dale, Maryland page, that would be nice. The page talked about Glenn Dale Citizens Association and I just wanted to add a link to their web site, but it's a geocities free site, newbies are presumed to be spamming when they add such links.

Question about Washington streetcars
Do you know when the Belt Railway/A&PR obtained the right to run over the Eckington and Soldiers' Home Railway on G Street, between Fourth and Ninth Streets Northwest, in order to operate cars between LeDroit Park and the steamboat wharves via Fourth Street, G Street, E Street, Fourteenth Street, etc.? This was probably at the same time as the O/P Streets trackage was abandoned. --NE2 10:55, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Finding information about old streetcar lines, period, is rather difficult. Here's one description I've found, from [1]:
ORIGINAL LINES OF THE ANACOSTIA COMPANY.
Commencing for the eastern terminus of the said road in Hillsdale, D. C., at or near the corner of Nichols Avenue and Howard Avenue, thence in a northeasterly direction about two thousand (2000) feet on said Nichols Avenue; thence in the same direction on Monroe Street (the same being a continuation of said Nichols Avenue), to the south side of the Eastern Branch or Anacostia River at the Navy Yard Bridge; thence in a northwesterly direction across said bridge to Eleventh Street east; thence north on Eleventh Street east to G Street south; thence west on G Street south to Fourth Street east; thence north on Fourth Street east to E Street south; thence west on E Street south to Canal Street; along Canal Street to B Street south; thence on B Street south to Third Street west; thence north on Third Street west to Missouri Avenue; thence along Missouri Avenue to Sixth Street west; thence north on Sixth Street to B Street north; thence west on B Street to Ninth Street west; thence north on Ninth Street to G Street north; thence west on G Street to Eleventh Street west; thence south on Eleventh Street to E Street north; thence east on E Street to Ninth Street west.
(NOTE.—Of the foregoing route from the corner of Four-and-a-half Street and Missouri Avenue to Sixth Street, B Street, and Ninth Street to G Street, the Anacostia and Potomac River Railroad operates under the authority of an act of Congress over the tracks laid by the Metropolitan Railroad Company, and on G Street from Ninth to Eleventh Streets by the like authority over tracks laid by the City and Suburban Railway Company.)
Also on M Street south, beginning at the junction with Eleventh Street; thence due west to Water Street.
Also on Second Street west, beginning at the intersection with M Street south; thence due north to intersection with Canal Street.
Also on G Street south, beginning at Eleventh Street east, due east to Seventeenth Street; thence north on Seventeenth Street east to E Street south; thence east on E Street south to Nineteenth Street east. And all other lines of railway and franchises now owned by said Railroad Company, and all extensions it may hereafter acquire in connection with said lines of railway and franchises.
LINES OF THE BELT RAILWAY.
Also the lines acquired by the Belt Railway purchase, beginning for the same on First Street west, at the point of its intersection with Maryland Avenue in front of the Capitol, in Washington City, District of Columbia, and running thence north along said First Street and New Jersey Avenue to G Street north; thence west along G Street to Fourth Street west; thence north along said Fourth Street and said New Jersey Avenue to P Street north; thence west along said P Street to Eleventh Street west; thence south along the said Eleventh Street to E Street north; thence west along said E Street to Fourteenth Street west; thence south along said Fourteenth Street to B Street south; thence eastwardly along said B Street south, to Virginia Avenue southwest; thence eastwardly along the said Virginia Avenue to its intersection with Maryland Avenue, and thence eastwardly along said Maryland Avenue to First Street west, the place of beginning; also along O Street north, between Fourth Street and Eleventh Street west; also beginning at the intersection of Eleventh and Boundary Streets NW., and running thence south along said Eleventh Street to its intersection with the main line at P Street north; also beginning at the intersection of Eleventh and E Streets NW., and running thence east along said E Street to Ninth Street west; thence south along said Ninth Street, a right of way over and the use of the tracks of the Metropolitan Railway Company to Louisiana Avenue, and thence by its own tracks westwardly along said Louisiana Avenue to its intersection with the main lines at Twelfth Street west; thence south on Twelfth Street to B Street south, where it intersects the main line at Twelfth Street; also commencing at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Eleventh Street SW., and running thence south along said Eleventh Street to Water Street, and thence southeastwardly along said Water Street to Seventh Street west, and thence south along said Seventh Street to N Street south; also commencing at the intersection of Ohio Avenue and Fourteenth Street NW., and running thence south along said Fourteenth Street to B Street south. Together with all existing right of extension of said line of railway, if any, conferred upon the Belt Railway Company by existing law, and also all extensions it may hereafter acquire in connection with said existing lines and franchises.
THE CAPITAL RAILWAY COMPANY.
Also, all and singular the railway lines, railway property, and corporate franchisee now owned by the Capital Railway Company within the said District of Columbia, in case, and as soon as, the same shall be acquired by the said party hereto of the first part, and also all extensions it may hereafter acquire in connection with the said existing lines and franchises.

College football contributions
Volcycle, Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for your many contributions of late. I've noticed a number of college football articles that you have created or greatly expanded, such as Zeke Martin. A few things to note on style and process:
- All section headings should be capitalized in sentence case, not title case; see MOS:SECTIONCAPS.
- All game scores, won–loss records, and year spans should be punctuated with endashes (–), not hyphens (-); see MOS:DASH.
- A number of the sports-related WikiProjects, including WikiProject College football, discourage the use of succession boxes for sports-related positions and awards, especially when there is an analogous navbox. Because we have Template:Texas Longhorns quarterback navbox, we don't need succession boxes for the Texas QBs.
- When creating a new article, it would be very helpful if you could tag the talk page with relevant project templates; see my edit at Talk:Ralph Ellsworth. This helps other editors working on similar topics become aware of the new article and better integrate their efforts with yours.
- When commenting on a talk page, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~); see Wikipedia:Signatures.
- User:Dirtlawyer1 is working revamping Template:Infobox college football player, which would apply to many the article you've worked on. See User:Dirtlawyer1/sandbox. You might want to give your feedback there.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this stuff. Keep up the good work! Thanks and all the best, Jweiss11 (talk) 07:34, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, do you have any citations for the Waddy Butler Wood entry? Its an impressive article, for which you were the main contributor. - I'm planning on writing a separate article for Oxon Run. Barnaby Run is the name of the stream that starts near the Bejamin Stoddart Middle School in Marlow Heights and flows west to the District and then south to the intersection of Galveston and Eastern. At that point it meets with Winkle Doodle Run. South of that, along Eastover, it sometimes called Barnaby and some times Winkle Doodle, but more often Winkle Doodle - not just by doing a google search but also in a search of newspaper articles, but there is obviously some confusion and it's hard to know who is "right". But DDOT repeatedly calls the bridge over it at South Capital the "Winkle Doodle Bridge" so that seems like a local authority. As for cutting off the last half mile of Oxon Run and calling it Oxon Creek- I'm relying on USGS.and an assortment of historic maps, as well as the trail along it which NPS calles the Oxon Creek Trail, but here again there is some confusion. I don't know what you mean by "Winkle Doodle means Oxon Run". Footnote 5 doesn't mention Oxon Creek - as it makes a few mistakes on names (calling Winkle Doodle "Glassmanor Run" for example). The point of footnote 5 is to show a place where Oxon Creek has been called Oxon Run. It's an example of the very confusion in plat Volcycle (talk) 05:37, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Highlights on infoboxes
Hi!, I hope you are having a nice day.
I noticed that you added some highlights to the Jordan Hicks infobox; thanks for your contribution, but those highlights that you added should not be included. You can see what to include and what to leave out here: Wikipedia:WikiProject National Football League/Player pages format#Infobox
I do not know how many more pages you have added it, but please do not continue adding it, thank you once again.

- I'm confused. Are not the things I listed "College Awards"? And thus they are things that should be included? Volcycle (talk) 00:51, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Of course they are highlights, and perhaps you can add it in a section of the article (I am not sure if it can be done, but you must find out if it can be), but not in the infobox, this is the specific rule: WP:NFLINFOBOXNOT
- You can see that we should not add honorable mentions, preseason All-Americans, runner-ups, academic highlights like "Academic All-Big 12", and so more.
- Please, read the article linked above and watch what you should leave out. Thanks. Sergio Skol (talk) 21:43, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
