Hello, Yadsalohcin. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Howard Bishop, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

Speedy deletion nomination of Willows Animal Sanctuary

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read

A tag has been placed on Willows Animal Sanctuary, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a clear section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing..
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:26, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi Yadsalohcin- Thanks for your participation on the Bhakdi article. I can't access that GA article. I'm wondering if we might change the wording on the bit you added re Mainz distancing itself. Without seeing the original text, I would normally think something like this would be expressed The U of M issued a statement to the effect that it does not support/agree with B's views..., but I would not want to edit what you put without seeing how it was presented in the GA. Eric talk 15:43, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Eric talk, and thanks to you for your work on the Bhakdi article too. My apologies to you and the wikiworld if I was inaccurate or misleading with my edit- after all the raging on the talk page and the delay before being able to re-instate lost text I was perhaps over-eager and hasty in my addition, which came out rather too informally. I have been trying to avoid being inflammatory or contra-BLP policy, but on this occasion my wording was a bit hastily thrown up and I can see it might be taken in a way I had not intended. Alternative ref supplied as I now realise I had based the words on sight (some days ago) of the reference web-page's title and summary, so 'accessed' would have been better expressed 'header accessed' or similar.Yadsalohcin (talk) 18:59, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

SARS-CoV-2 lineages/variants
Hello. I'm Prof Oliver Pybus, co-developer of the Pango SARS-CoV-2 lineage nomenclature system. Thanks for your work on the Wikipedia pages about this. I wonder if you could help us clarify the system on the site (we are not Wikipedians). Specifically, we need separate pages for the "Pango nomenclature system" and for "Pangolin". The former is the set of rules used to name the lineages, whilst latter is a software tool that implements those rules, and confusion arises if the two are conflated. See https://www.nature.com/articles/s41564-021-00872-5 for an initial attempt to clarify this. I'd be happy to be contacted at [email protected] to discuss this with Wikipedians maintaining these important pages. Thanks again. trans-titles on Hualien train derailment
Please stop using the translations you have for the titles of references, from wherever you taken them from. There are a number that are riddled with mistakes that are obvious to those who know Chinese. – robertsky (talk) 08:42, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- Usually where I have any doubts about a translation I try the reverse translation to check things are not getting too distorted. I generally abandon matters when it's beyond my knowledege or ability to deduce the most appropriate translation. However, for this article, if I recall, a number of extra time-pressures arose and in haste I committed some less-well-checked trans-titles into the article. My apologies. Mea maxima culpa. Days
Perhaps you could update your "on Wikipedia for 0 days" box. – Sca (talk) 19:11, 29 December 2021 (UTC) ;-)
- Thanks for this suggestion. Long ago, I tossed in a number of such infoboxes, hoping that they would auto-update, but as they don't, and I don't feel much need for striving for self-advertisement, I have deleted them now. As of Late 2021, the number you require is... just over 2,500. Yadsalohcin (talk) 20:53, 29 December 2021 (UTC)

Simlar flags
Hello. I wanted to ask you, to please, stop recreating section "simlar flags" in the article about the White-blue-white flag. Articles about flags arent' supposed to have sections about similar or "identical flags". For example, here is a bunch of red and white flags from around the world, of which, non has a section about the ""simlar flags" in its articles:
- Flag of Poland
- Flag of Monaco
- Flag of Indonesia
- Flag of Brandenburg
- Flag of Hesse
- Flag of Thuringia
- Flag of Greenland
- etc
You can see the same thing for other colour schemes such as blue-yellow-red:
Flag having huge similarities with other flags is normal and regular occurrence, and adding such information into articles about flags, usually fall under the "trivia" category, which is not welcomed on Wikipedia. So please, stop. Sincerelly, Artemis Andromeda (talk) 20:14, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello Yadsalohcin, I hope your doing well. I just thought it'd be necessary to properly thank you for going over my decently sized edits to Kinburn Spit recently, and for correcting the errors you find in them. I wrote and rewrote most of the page semi-recently, and it's good to know that there are people reading the page and maintaining besides myself. I hope you have a very happy New Year 🙂 Johnson524 (Talk!) 02:56, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi Yadsalohcin. This edit didn't clarify the refs, it broke them. See Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors and the documentation for {{sfn}} templates for more details. They refs have to match the setup in the cite exactly, I've updated the cite to match the refs and fix the errors in this edit. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 15:22, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
