The title was created for Emily Smith and to the heirs male of her body.[2]
As of 2017[update] the title is held by the 3rd Viscount's grandson, the 5th Viscount, who succeeded in 2012. Much of the family estates was sold in 2007,[3] but the first wife of the late 4th Viscount, Maria Carmela Attolico di Adelfia, still lives in the Manor House at Hambleden, as of 2012.[4]
