Wait - you made the Police page in a single edit and have not touched it since. You made the Subway page over a few edits but then TTH restarted it with the standard mass creation template. -I've checked the my contribution log and these portal was created in bulk. I would imagine most portals start out with the basic portal start page template. --

• Delete All 4. Not clear what the originator means when they say that two of them "don't appear to have been created automatically". Don't they know whether they were created automatically? Is that a claim that they were using a dandy-brandy-spandy method of automated creation to look manual? They look like robotic portals to a portal critic, and like recent work of a portal platoon member, and not broad areas except by the broadest interpretation of broad. • Comment – Per the relisting comment requesting more detailed input, which is most appreciated, below is the category tree and Recognized content for New York City Subway (in collapsed form), which includes featured articles and lists and a plethora of good articles. Per content available about the subject, and the significant amount of high-quality content, the subject passes

  to qualify for a portal.

• Delete all. These are all automated portals, each f which simply replicate the eponymous navbox as a much more bulky, standalone page. The navbox itself is a much better navigational device, and the head articles (which transclude the navboxes) are better navigational hubs.

It might be appropriate to have a properly-curated, non-automated portal on one or more of these topics, but even if there was a consensus that the topics are broad enough, creating these portals automated portals are not worth retaining.
