Career
Zhang Yi was born in
Da Hinggan Ling Prefecture. In May 2001, he became a deputy party chief of Heilongjiang province.[1][2]
In November 2006, Zhang was transferred to Hebei province, where he remained a deputy party chief. In September 2007, he was transferred to the central government where he was a deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Communist Party.[1][2]
In July 2010, Zhang was appointed Communist Party Chief of
National People's Congress Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee.[3]
Zhang is a member of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.[1][2]
