The 2008–09 Portland Trail Blazers season was the 39th season of the franchise in the

Houston Rockets in six games in the first round. The 2008-09 Trail Blazers had the best team offensive rating in the NBA.[1]

  • An MRI revealed that Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy needed arthroscopic surgery to repair a tear in the meniscus of his left knee. The surgery was scheduled for Thursday, August 14.[citation needed]
