The 2023

ATP Tour Masters 1000 event on the 2023 ATP Tour and a WTA 1000 event on the 2023 WTA Tour that was non-mandatory but was upgraded from 900 to 1,000 points.[1][2]

This was the first year that the tournament would be expanded to two weeks and the men's and women's singles draws were expanded to 96 players.[3]
