Maipure (Maypure, Mejepure), was a language once spoken along the
Maipurean (Arawakan) language family.[citation needed
]
Kaufman (1994) gives its closest relatives as
Upper Amazon Arawakan. Aikhenvald places it instead in the Western Nawiki branch.[2]
