Career

Before his appointment as deputy secretary, Gibson was the 22nd president and CEO of the

United Way campaign in Central Alabama.[5] Gibson was selected to serve as interim President at Hargrave Military Academy
in 2021, the first Hargrave graduate ever to hold that office.

Military service

Gibson earned both Airborne and Ranger qualifications and served as an infantry officer in the United States Army.[5]

Personal life

Gibson and his wife, Margaret Gibson, whom he has been married to for over 32 years, have two grown daughters, Celia Gibson and Laura Gibson.[5]
