Syringa oblata subsp. dilatata,[1][2][3] also known as Korean early lilac,[4] is a subspecies of the species Syringa oblata in the genus Syringa, in the family Oleaceae.[2]

Habitat

Gravelly mountains, 100-700m altitude.[2]

Distribution

China: Jilin and Liaoning provinces.

Korea: Throughout.[2]

Etymology

Oblata from the modern

flutes. In Greek mythology, the nymph Syringa was changed into a reed.[5]
