Although the cursed eye was a big plot device early in the series, not much has been explained about it other than what has already been stated under "abilities". I'm not sure there is enough to place it in a separate section. Raisin56 (talk) 14:50, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A bit curious as to why he's listed as the youngest exorcist "to date". Is this referring to him being the youngest in the current time, or the youngest to become an exorcist ever? I just want some clarification because the latter case would be false information, though the former is true. <3 Samuffin 23:32, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i would say to date, because Lenalee(however you spell it) was taken in at what seems to be age 12-14 as a exorcist, so in the past she could have been the youngest. so i think they mean that in this current time he is the youngest. also in the past that one kid who played soccer also was younger then Allen when he was about to become an exorcist. Okay, to clarify, as far as I can tell, Cross Beam is a mistranslation, period. It isn't referred to as "Cross Beam" in any Japanese media, especially not JUMP! Ultimate Stars. I'm looking at it right now, and his attack is clearly named, in hiragana, "くろすばりんぐ" (Kurosu Baringu). Moreover, the kanji for the attack literally specifies {{"stake"|杭|kui}}, as in a paling. As a side note, go ahead and google search "クロス・ビーム", or, "クロス・ビーム"+"JUMP", or even "クロス・ビーム"+"アレン", and you won't find any results referring to the attack as such. His attacks in JUS are Cross Grave, Cross Paling, Invoke Innocence: Maximum Release (イノセンス発動最大限解放, Inosensu Hatsudō Saidaigen Kaihō), and Crown Clown.

I'm not sure how the mistranslation came about, or got so widely used, but I'd guess it's the result of a scanlator or other translator not knowing what the definition of "paling" is, and using beam for lack of a better romanization of "baringu".

Paling, by the way, is a singular noun, and doesn't need any referance to "pales", I've opted for a cross-link to the wiktionary definition, which should solve any problems of people being unfamiliar with the word.

And finally, ref tags are for referencing secondary sources, not for little notes or further information on the subject at hand, so I've put those back into the article proper, save for Cross Spear being named in the DS game.

Thanx 4 that piece of info. I mean it. I've been posting "Cross Beam" for God knows how long. But big than for the "Invoke Innocence: Maximum Release (イノセンス発動最大限解放, Inosensu Hatsudō Saidaigen Kaihō)" piece. I've been trying to find the info on that ability for a while now. In regards to Allen's connection with the Musician, I was reading the manga and a recent chapter (I've read up to 95) when the Earl tells the twins about the Musician, he comments that the list of people to 'delete' that he gave to Tyki Mikk was of those connected to the Musician in some way. While Jasdavid were saying how the Earl is probably referring to Cross (who was on Tyki's list) Allen was also on it. Sam (talk) 05:40, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I personally prefer images from the original media be used (in this case, the manga) simply because it's the original media. But I'm not really against an image from the anime. However, if an anime pic will be used in the end, I wouldn't choose that particular shot. Maybe a clearer one that isn't so zoomed in. ~

An insert song by Sanae Kobayashi in the first anime, "Hands Sealed With a Kiss" (つないだ手にキスを, Tsunaida Te Ni Kisu o) (played while Allen restores Noah's Ark), was included on the series' third CD soundtrack.^[1]

The dog is killed by another clown, and Red attacks Mana when he does mourn him; Mana loses his memory and acts strangely. After an Akuma destroys the circus, Red (whom Mana mistakes for his dog) adopts the name "Allen" and travels with the clown.^[2]
