Date of death

Sad news. However, neither of the cited sources give a date of death; it's quite possible that Aherne died yesterday, or even earlier. Does anyone have a reliable source that does? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pigsonthewing (talkcontribs) 12:07, July 2, 2016 (UTC–4)

Andy, I think your issue has now been resolved? The Guardian says "earlier today". Martinevans123 (talk) 18:56, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Earlier today, so that's between 12am to 12pm. Sometime in between. You know, righttttt in between those times. You know, just sometime within those slots. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.9.218.106 (talk) 19:19, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The first edit here was at 15:43, so I think we can assume it was not later than that. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:24, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So, it was between 12am to 3:43pm. Cheers for widening the gap! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.9.218.106 (talk) 19:29, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pigsonthewing was asking about the date of death. I don't think there's any dispute about that any more? Wikipedia articles very rarely give a time of death. So I don't think it matters. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:51, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The lead image, under fair use rationale, is this one, uploaded in 2017. Is that really the best that can be employed under fair use? If that really is the best, I think the article might be better off without it. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:14, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
