The article states that she was a "devout" Episcopalian. What does that mean? Episcopalians have no fixed moral beliefs or codes of conduct. This is actually very ironic. Over the weekend, I was randomly looking up articles on Wikipedia and came upon the Joan Fontaine article. Two days later, she dies. Wow. Such a shock.

Please add information from other sources (specifically less hossip, more respected sources such as IMBd. X-ref their information regarding Joan's name change. It was not Joan's mother acting out some kind of favouritism at Joan's expense. Joan's mother encouraged both daughters and even paid for acting lessons for Joan. To only make brief mention using a one-sided source is a disservice to biographical articles. Here is a segment from the IMBd biography. I encourage the authors to investigate this.

After moving to L.A., Joan adopted the name of Joan Burfield because she didn't want to infringe upon Olivia, who was using the family surname.

In addition, in consideration of the recent lawsuit filed by Olivia concerning the damage false or out-of-context stayements can cause character damage. Statements portrayed as biographically accurate, especially matters of opinion referenced in Wikipedia articles, should not exclude sources that may be less titillating, but still equally valid, when presenting opinion as print-worthy. I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Joan Fontaine's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

The article states about her death that, "According to her longtime friend and secretary, Susan Pfeiffer, Joan Fontaine was not cremated and her ashes were not scattered on the Pacific Ocean, as known."
