Edit Request

I work for Senator Ginal and therefore have a conflict of interest, so I am submitting this request. The request that I am making on her behalf is fairly simple and (I hope) non-controversial. She would like to have the main image of her replaced with a different image.

This is the desired image: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Senator_Joann_Ginal.jpg

It has been used in a number of news stories about Senator Ginal. Some more recent ones are: https://coloradosun.com/2019/04/14/opinion-colorado-leaders-must-prioritize-parity-in-the-wake-of-landmark-mental-health-ruling/ https://www.coloradoan.com/story/opinion/2020/07/13/opinion-federal-action-needed-avert-housing-crisis/5418015002/

Please let me know if anyone has any questions or concerns.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Chris Loves Lasers and thank you for your image donation. The editors of Wikipedia greatly appreciate contributions to our collection of freely licensed images. However, Wikipedia policy requires that I ask you for additional documentation before the image can be posted. Because this image has already been published on Sen. Ginal's Twitter with all rights reserved, you must read the instructions at commons:OTRS and send an email from a Colorado General Assembly account confirming that (1) Sen. Ginal's office owns the copyright to the image and (2) Wikipedia is granted a free license to use the portrait. If you don't send the email within a few days, it is possible that the image will be deleted as a precautionary measure. Should that happen, the image can be restored by an administrator but that would result in additional delay. Thanks for your understanding. Altamel (talk) 05:29, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Altamel. Thank you for the information. I confirmed the copyright issue verbally with the Senator (she owns it, is okay to release it, etc.), but it makes sense that formal documentation is necessary. I will take care of that. Chris Loves Lasers (talk) 17:56, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Altamel. I have successfully resolved the copyright issues with Wikimedia and gotten a higher resolution version of the file uploaded to boot. Please let me know if anything further is necessary to have the change made. Best. Chris Loves Lasers (talk) 17:19, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent. Agreed that the new image is of higher quality. Best, Altamel (talk) 20:26, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
