On 8 October 2022, it was proposed that this article be moved from Annexation of southeastern Ukraine by the Russian Federation to Russian annexation of Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The result of the discussion was moved.

In the article, it says "regions it illegaly annexed [sic]". Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that most, if not all, dialects of English would spell the word as illegally, not illegaly. May someone please fix this, admittedly minor, typo?

The article has a section on the Russian occupying administrations of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia declaring independence prior to being annexed, but none of the sources cited appear to assert than any such thing happened. All I was able to confirm was Russia's recognition of their independence, which debateably implies that they might have first declared such independence.

In fact I suspect that some form of declarations did occur as a formality, but unless someone can find some WP:RS to confirm it (I wasn't able to), we should probably remove those assertions from the article. GeoEvan (talk) 14:09, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove false claims, false references, and any other propaganda sources. I aim this petition in particular in regard to the current citation / reference, labeled / numbered as "4", which is talking about the UN, when in fact the document provided is dated 2014.
