The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that every year, a narrow land pass opens for a few hours between Modo and Jindo Islands in the Yellow Sea? Query on proven and estimated reserves. From the article on reserves: "Oil exploration has been successful in the Chinese and North Korean portions of the sea, with the proven and estimated reserves of about 9 and 20 billion tonnes, respectively"

My question is did the author mean barrels and not tonnes?
