River in Indiana

The USGS topographic map Lake State Recreation Area here shows Big Run flowing south southeast from the dam at Lake Deam into Muddy Fork. I have sources and ideas in Frog. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 00:20, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

  • I am working on it now - turns out writing about coral is much harder than I expected. I am about halfway done (haven't saved it yet). Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:44, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
    • I have been trying to figure out what all the septa and other parts of the coral are and what the family etc is for this little coral. A challenge indeed. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:54, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
      • Thanks, it wound up being lots more work than I expected, but I also learned some new things, which is fun. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 16:09, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Re: Deam Lake Dam and Hope Mills Dam

Dincher, I can make an article for Deam Lake Dam soon. When working on the Hope Mills Dam, I found a giant spreadsheet of all dams in NC that may be helpful. I can also find some other stuff as well and include info about the reservoir. It shouldn't be hard. Do you have a picture of the dam by any chance? With the rain in Hope Mills, were you hoping the lake would fill? Have they found a plan to repair it?--NortyNort (Holla) 04:25, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Oh, it is in Indiana, should be no problem though.--NortyNort (Holla) 04:32, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
I am working on Deam Lake Dam. The research is tough, very tough. There is very little about the dam, no major information in books, the news, the DNR, etc. I also saw it referred to as "Dream" Lake Dam in some references. Usually when I hit a roadblock like this, it may have a completely different name than the lake. Still looking... --NortyNort (Holla) 22:00, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Alabama locator map

When I looked at the state forest article, and compared the dot on Wiki to Google Earth's dot, they looked pretty close: both dots were in or on the far western edge of Geneva County. Where do you see the dot? Ruhrfisch ><>°° 22:29, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I just double checked it against Google Earth and the map parameters seem OK to me. Not sure what the problem is as I tried it in Internet Explorer and Firefox and it was in about the right place for each. Sorry, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:56, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
It's in the right place on my home computer. Not sure what was going on. Some nastiness needs to be removed at

That is weird. I deleted the potentially libelous stuff, thanks for the heads up. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 15:37, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
