Dear Administrators,

My name is Meaghan Brown, and I know that everyone can edit Wikipedia. I am very scared because I do not like harsh criticism and I fear being blocked from editing Wikipedia because I have a right to edit as much as everyone does. Please do not block me from editing. I am only trying to help Wikipedia by adding more info for readers to learn about, and this is based on Wikipedia pages in other languages, as well as Google search pages templates and mylife.com. I do not like the thought of being blocked as indefinite punishment for trying to add more information to pages of female figure skaters so that readers can learn more about them. --Signed: Meaghan Brown, Holliston, MA

Just want to point out that, no one has a "right" to edit WP. We have the privilege of doing so and as this is a privately owned website, this privilege can be withdrawn should an editor repeatedly violate the policies. If you're having difficulty understanding how to go about editing, I suggest you visit the
teahouse to ask for assistance. Blackmane (talk) 03:29, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply

Just my 2 cents here: not everyone may edit Wikipedia, although anyone may try their hand at it. A person who does not understand what Wikipedia is should not even try to edit before reading a bit about
WP:INLINE
citation standards. Wikipedia is not "helped" by indiscriminate additions from unreliable sources. It is big enough! Quality is where Wikipedia needs help.
I guess now you realize that your Talk page is very important, and you should look at it daily for updates and feedback if you choose not to have an account. How you got as far as you did in editing without once looking at your Talk page, and still never got blocked, I'll never know. Best of luck, as I know you mean well. Please read blue-linked policies and articles carefully, and ask for clarification of these guidelines on the Teahouse whenever you feel stuck.--Quisqualis (talk) 06:04, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
