Hi there- I'm a little concerned that, with some of the articles for which you are claiming, your contributions were pretty minimal. There is, of course, no ban on collaborative work- in fact, we encourage it. However, in order to claim points, you must have contributed significantly to the article in question- do you honestly feel that your contribution has been "significant" to each of these articles? J Milburn (talk) 11:05, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
I certainly don't think you're acting in bad faith, here, and it's obvious that you're contributing to worthwhile topics. The definition of "significant" is left hazy- merely wikifying or copyediting is normally not enough. Am I right in believing that you have actually added content and/or a few sources to each of the articles for which you've claimed? J Milburn (talk) 11:18, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Open house
Hey...I visited your school's open house today. Your school rocks, real awesome. ;)
I know right!! Best of times.. It's only getting better!! I don't know how you look like, but I was at the Yusof Ishak block though I wasn't attending the booth. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 05:52, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
I don't really see any "booths" there, the name "Raffles" is good enough.
Also, I asked one of the students there, they say that the It was the best of times and it's still getting better shirt was exclusively for the open house only. I like that sentence also.
You know, those booths with the friendly people handing out sweets and those CCA banners? You didn't see them? Yeah, paraphrasing. I'd rather it be "only" than "still". I wonder if you asked me... Nah, don't recall saying that. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 14:36, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
I don't know, when I went for principal's talk, there was this guy handing out Apollo wafers, and the CCA booths, are they after crossing the bridge from Yusof Ishak block? But I didn't see any sweets.
Ooh, did she hand out any soft toys or anything? Around that time I was at the JC end, enjoying a cuppa Slurpee. I think we were at different places at different times... Swear there were mints at the booth... ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 14:49, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Bonkers, if a DYK nomination fails, and on the day that it is reviewed, the article is already 5 days old, then can we still do an ALT1, even if it is not reviewed on the 6th day?
Yep. Plastingia naga has not failed, that's a f word. Usually noms can take as long as a week or so or as short as a day to be reviewed. Just Watchlist it and go on to create other stuff. When it's done, it's done. :) ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 04:31, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

It is a bit impossible for all current noms to be reviewed in five days. Policy states that articles when nommed should not be older than five days (from creation date or expansion start date). Nothing states that they must be reviewed by five days. The oldest nom now (I think) is a few months old. I think it is one of my works about some winemaker. Hi Bonkers, I'm not sure if you know that there is an article on the haze that we (but not you) are experiencing. Is it OK if I ask you not to create a DYK for that first? I have a few reasons.

3) You have done so many already. Please give me some credit.

I count with my brain. Takes a loooot of time. ._. But if you want to take the fast way, I recommend DYKcheck. You can either increase the prose count by padding or by adding more new content. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 08:03, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
I think you should have a sense of humor. :P I wonder which bigot really does that. Anyway, if you did it correctly, it should appear in your "Toolbox" (left hand corner). ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 08:09, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Hmm...I don't see any toolbox in the top left hand corner.
Quite impossible. It's underneath the Wkipedia globe thingy. Do you see the "Main page" button? If you do, scroll your eyes down and I think you should spot it. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 08:13, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
OK, I saw the toolbox, but there isn't any DYK counter. :(
After checking the article's number of characters, one of the messages was "Article has not been expanded 5x since it was created". Just want to clarify if it means that the article is less than 5 times the original length? Cheers.
That's not a problem as the article was created today. For an article created more than five days ago, it must be expanded five times. The tool will indicate that. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 08:58, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
I think we are not allowed to close noms that we have reviewed. Correct?
There's another thing I need to ask you. I just did a preperation area and need to complete the credits part. What does "editor" and "nominator" refer to? I think "nominator" refers to the DYK creator but who does "editor" refer to?
The nominator is the guy that nominates the article. Just like I nominated Plastingia Naga. Need not be involved in editing the article. Editor is the person who has created or expanded the article, but not necessarily the one who nominates. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 10:20, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
So if the editor is also the nominator, then who do I place the credit under?
Just to let you know, your crab ice cream nom is in my prep list, and I have accepted your North Korea environmental issues nomination. I have to say that the North Korea one is very interesting.
We don't go with tour agencies. I was at the hotel lobby just now. Ay, then the rain stopped and it was a fun day. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 12:56, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
I did not think about whether you went with a tour agency or not, my family also goes free and easy. But for me, perhaps I only have at night when return to hotel to surf on my dad's iPad (provided the wi-fi is free). Sometimes, in the morning if I'm lucky. Then if I go to Australia, I consider myself lucky if I can, as wi-fi there is chargeable. But if go McDonald's, then it's happy time. Even though this, I still damn love to go Australia.
Yeah, the wifi here is free and fast. Besides, there was nothing to do during that raining period. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 13:04, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Regarding the DYK nom, I will see how it goes tomorrow morning, and perhaps over the next few days. Based on the readings, I will try to create a DYK nom. The PSI reading reached 321 at 10pm, and we owe our greatest thanks to Indonesia, of course (whether you celebrate a new record or curse Indonesia, I'm both).

DYK nomination of Environmental issues in North Korea
Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Seeing that you are on holiday, I guess I should try to find the time to try to fix the issues I identified in the review... --Orlady (talk

Mark Twain and oyster ice-cream
Hi,
I wanted to review your DYK nomination, but I read Tom Sawyer more than once years ago, and I don't recall anything about oyster ice-cream. Also, this website is sceptical about whether Twain himself liked (or even ate) oyster ice-cream [2]. I'll leave it with you. NinaGreen (talk) 21:47, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
DYK for Crab ice cream
DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page

2013 Southeast Asian haze
Hi Bonkers, I notice you added the NEA website as a source. Please don't use that, as it is refreshed every day. Channel NewsAsia Online would be a better source. Cheers.
Well, most important thing is for it to be properly referenced. I don't mind changing the source. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 09:49, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Another thing, you nominated the article for ITN. Do you want to consider changing RectorRocks to someone else? Looking at the page history, he isn't any of the 3 most significant contributors at the time of posting. Also, I initially wanted to nom
If this should appear on DYk, please cite everything. I'm seeing some unsourced sentences. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 09:57, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Although I'm not concluding the discussion yet, I just want to seek your opinion first. If the results are against me, do you think it's better to do ITN or DYK?
That says it. ITN. That was also my opinion, since ITN at the top and for a few days. In response to your question, articles that have been featured on main page cannot DYK. --
? Isn't DYK on the main page? I've seen featured articles run for DYK. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 10:34, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Based on the comments so far, I would have closed the discussion as don't merge. But I think Shawn's opinion would be quite important, as noted there. But anyway, perhaps I remembered wrongly, so we will do both. Cheers.
Hey Bonkers, I'm itching to close that discussion. I have put up a last call, and after 12:15am (GMT+8} tonight, the gate will be closed. So if any more invites, please post them ASAP. I apologize if you do not manage to read this message in time.
Hello, Bonkers The Clown. You have new messages at Talk:2013 Southeast Asian haze. Message added 01:48, 21 June 2013 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
There are many things to write about.. You could probably do some redlink hunting if you want to write more articles... And the haze one was good. Keep it up. Although just remember that everything factual should be cited; that's the way it works. I read that it hit 400, the PSI. I don't know whether to be happy (probably no school) or to be sad. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 10:46, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
After 400, it was 401, before going down the mountain.
That's why I don't dare to confirm the DYK and placed a notice there (go take a look). But is it OK to hold it up more than 5 days (without 5x expansion) just to provide true facts (like what I'm doing now)?
(edit conflict) No, the folks at DYK aren't so lenient. Rules are rules. They would probably allow for a few hours more than five days, but that's the most. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 11:05, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Aiyo, why does the nom look like that? And why did you credit just Orangewarming?? ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 11:05, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
No, it still must be within 5 days. That's the deadline for 5x expansion too. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 11:07, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Not sure if my memory failed me again, I will continue to check the rules.
Rule 1b) Former redirects, stubs, and other articles in which the prose portion has been expanded fivefold or more within the past five days [my emphasis] are also acceptable as "new" articles. You probably saw noms for articles worked on at a sandbox (which doesn't count to the five days). ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 11:38, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
The haze always clears at night, then comes back after sunrise.
Hmm...DYK criteria 1e): Articles that have been featured on the main page's In the news section are ineligible. If an article is linked to at ITN but not the featured ITN article, it is still eligible for DYK.

For future reference i'm pretty sure we can quote people in articles. Koala15 (talk) 03:19, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
If you're not a newbie, you should know better than to directly lift from sources. ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 03:22, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
But i think we should leave the full quote from Cee Lo in. Koala15 (talk) 03:25, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
I would have no qualms with a small bit; just not everything. An excessive quote is still copyvio. Cheers, ☯ BonkersThe Clown\(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 03:27, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
