Smallville

I'm glad to see another Smallville fan. Most TV shows cannot actually support individual articles on each episode though. Most episode pages contain nothing but plot summaries with no actual real world info. Why they continue to exist when they fail

Smallville (season 2), or Smallville (seaosn 3) (I haven't sat down and done the other seasons yet).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:42, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply

"Peace on Earth"

I just wanted to say great job on the "Peace on Earth" article so far. It's amazing how much better it looks already after only a few hours of your edits. Melicans (talk, contributions) 05:00, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I mainly like to improve music-related stub articles with lots of reference material available online. I consider myself a content-builder although I'm poor in writing good prose and organizing info. You might have to correct some of my mistakes. I want to learn and I'm always trying to improve my skills here. I'm also a big fan of U2 and noticed that there is a Wikiproject for the band. I would join but my interests on Wikipedia are too scattered. However, I can be persuaded to edit more U2-related articles since I will get help from hard-working editors like yourself. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. The article Pick-up game has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Nothing more than a dictionary definition, no evidence of any notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. March Madness 2017

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:

  • tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
  • updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
  • creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.

The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.

For the Milhist co-ordinators. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) & MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 07:24, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nominations for both awards are open between 00:01 on 2 December 2017 and 23:59 on 15 December 2017. After this, a 14-day voting period will follow commencing at 00:01 on 16 December 2017. re Isomedix

Isomedix was not advertising; this is a company which no longer exists, attempting to catalog historically significant steps in the development of irradiation sterilization. Was the page completely flushed and it is unrecoverable ? Please forgive ignorance -- and delay realizing the entry was just blown away long ago -- but I don't understand your reasons for removing. Looks like someone has since redirected Isomedix to whoever must own the technology now, so at least one other person sees some significance in the name, though all of the history ha been lost.
