Kelly knew what color her eyes were when she made the song "Behind These Hazel Eyes". Comparing the pictures of Kelly and Belle, they do seem to share the same eye color just slightly different shades of it - Belle's eyes are little lighter. Someone made a video called "Behind Belle's Hazel Eyes", the person who made this video knew what color Belle's eyes were and decided to include Belle's name in the title. And if you read the comments, the people fully agree her eyes are hazel with comments like "green or hazel? they look more hazel than brown or green . yup belles eyes are deffinetely hazel problem solved". I like the "problem solved" part. With Minotaurgirl's bias against the idea of Belle having hazel eyes, I think there will always be a problem with people like her involved.

TV Tropes has already suffered an edit war because of her, so much so they forbade users from writting what Belle's eye color is. Notice how Belle's name is missing from the Eye Color tropes colony, while the rest of Disney Princesses have their eye color mentioned. Belle's name was there under the category of Hazel Eyes until Minotaurgirl came along and ruined it all. Same thing almost happened to Disney Wiki. This is Minotaurgirl's account, as you can see she got blocked with an expiry time of infinite, the reason; inserting false information, the false information being writting down Belle's eyes as brown.] And now here's Minotaurgirl on the Wikipedia. Is there any repsite from her?

I noticed she has a Live Journal account. See what she has written. The lack of links speaks for itself. She thinks she actually proved Belle's eyes are brown, depsite the fact what she has presented as evidence is either a minority or a plain old lie, like the screenshots she send me. By magnifying the images, you can see her eyes are hazel-colored and not the same color as her hair at all. Notice how she's afriad to use close-ups of Belle's eye cuz she knows they'll appear hazel if she did so, thus disproving her. On her blog, she didn't mention that she was blocked on Disney Wiki, and said the only reason Disney Wiki kept Belle's eyes color as hazel was to shut up people who keep writting her eyes as hazel, when in reality the one who got shut up was Minotaurgirl as she got blocked while the others didn't. She wrote "Bleh. Kids these days. This one needs a hobby. I'm tired of wasting time trying to undo this snot's damage, and I'm fairly sure the mods of these sites are too. Would it be possible to just...block this person off the internet entirely until they learn some manners?" Yup, she calls people who use logic and legitimate evidence to prove their point snots and hobby-less kids if the evidence goes against what Minotaurgirl said/believes.

If anyone deserves to be blocked, it's Minotaurgirl. If it wasn't for her bias, sites like like TV Tropes, Disney Wiki and the Wikipedia wouldn't have suffered an edit war about Belle's eye color. The fact that there was never an edit about Belle's eye color until Minotaurgirl came along, says a lot. Ever since she got blocked from Disney Wiki almost an year ago, no edit war about Belle's eye color happened there either. It's like Minotaurgirl is the only person on the entire internet who refuses to accept Belle's eyes as hazel and is willing to go to every page and change her eye color to brown, just cuz she likes to think so, not because the world thinks so or any legit evidence are presented. It's like someone going around changing Ariel's eyes from blue to green, just cuz he likes the idea of Ariel being green-eyed. Things don't work like that.

My overall opinion on Minotaurgurl. I think it's safe to say the internet is better off without her. She's toxic, she's a nuisance, she's talks trash to people just cuz they disagree with her, she lies, she mangles, twists and misrepresents other people's words, and she causes edit wars. Well to quickly use a ref twice use the ref name templates, like this <ref name="example."> Then you put the regular cite information now that you have that template there, If you need to call back upon that source, go back and do you do this <ref name="example" />. Feedback needed on using special characters

Hello. Thank you so much for using VisualEditor. Having editors use it is the best way for the Wikimedia Foundation to develop it into the best tool it can be.

While we always welcome general feedback (please

diacritics

). It is intended to help people whose computers do not have good character inserters. For example, many Mac users prefer to use the extensive "Special Characters…" tool present at the bottom of the Edit menu in all applications or to learn the keyboard shortcuts for characters like ñ and ü.

The current version of the special characters tool in VisualEditor is very simple and very basic. It will be getting a lot of work in the coming weeks and months. It does not contain very many character sets at this time. (The specific character sets can be customized at each Wikipedia, so that each project could have a local version with the characters it wants.) But the developers want your ideas at this early stage about ways that the overall concept could be improved. I would appreciate your input on this question, so please try out the character inserter and tell me what changes to the design would (or would not!) best work for you.

Issues you might consider:

• Do you normally use a character inserter? Which character sets are useful to you? Should it include all 18 of the character sets provided in the wikitext editor's newer toolbar at the English Wikipedia, the 10 present in the older editor toolbar, or some other combination of character sets?
• How many special characters would you like to see at one time?
  • Should there be a "priority" or "favorites" section for the 10 or 12 characters that most editors need most often? Is it okay if you need an extra click to go beyond the limited priority set?
  • How should the sections be split up? Should they be nested? Ordered?
  • How should the sections be navigated? Should there be a drop-down? A nested menu?
• The wikitext editor has never included many symbols and characters, like

  . Do you find that you need these missing characters? If the character inserter in VisualEditor includes hundreds or thousands of special characters, will it be overwhelming? How will you find the character you want? What should be done for users without enough space to display more than a few dozen characters?
• Should the character inserter be statically available until dismissed? Should it hover near the mouse? Should it go away on every selection or 10 seconds after a selection with no subsequent ones?
• Some people believe that the toolbar already has too many options—how would you simplify it?

The developers are open to any thoughts on how the special character inserter can best be developed, even if this requires significant changes.

Belle's marriage

I noticed your recent edit on Belle's article. I thought that in the final scene of the movie, Belle is wearing a crown on her head in the stain-glass window, which meant that she did marry the Beast/Prince. I thought it was also established that they were married in the last scene of Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. And1987 (talk) 20:44, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Placing a crown on Belle's head doesn't make her a princess, just as putting a wedding dress on a single woman doesn't make her a bride. The same goes for the sequel: two characters who are obviously in love and living together does not automatically make them a married couple, although the natural thing to do is to assume so. Looking at the Disney Princesses (excluding Pocahontas and Mulan for obvious reasons), the only ones who we can officially say are married are Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Tiana and Rapunzel – Snow White, Aurora and Belle are only romantically involved. Also, a simple Googling of "Did Belle marry the Beast" shows that the opinions of online writers are currently divided. And1987 Aurora is a sensitive subject. Although they technically do not get married, Aurora and Philip are betrothed for the entire film and a wedding is obviously the "next step". So I believe that including Philip as her spouse does not pose as much of an issue, and you would have a hard time convincing users otherwise. Coin945 I'm actually the editor responsible for bringing Belle to GA status back in 2012, but of course it fell subject to fan cruft for two years and I abandoned it until earlier this year. You made a valid suggestion, of course, but I'm afraid that Disney Broadway musicals are a little too ambitious for me, and require someone with enough time and expertise to find sufficient information on ticket sales, box office numbers, tour dates, etc. What I could possibly do is expand the critical response sections, but that would be about it. Ahh yes that makes sense. Character and song articles are probably much easier to find sources for because their scope is smaller. It's not like you have to consult box office sites, and DVD extras, and legal documents, and all this disparate stuff for the various sections. FWIW I knew you were the one who brought Belle to GA. What I meant was that by returning to the article and brutally copyediting it, you've made it really quite the comprehensive article that goes above and beyond to explain who this person is and their importance to the industry. One quick thing thoguh... at one point you mention "her dad and Maurice" (i think in reference to her mothering other characters). Her dad *is* Maurice so I think you meant Beast. Forgot to bring it up earlier. I have been referred to you by Checkingfax; indeed, you are highly recommended by him! I have created an article on classical and flamenco guitar and atonal music in general and on internationally renowned Canadian guitarist Michael Laucke in particular. So far, I'm delighted that it has been ushered in live, and several editors have sent some nice comments my way; still, I feel improvements in style remain to be made.

I am proud to have contributed about several hundred hours of research. We are approaching 500 edits, about half of which are the incredible work of Checkingfax, and 12 other editors have also helped

I am hoping that you will be able to take a moment to give me some feedback; your expert advice would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to make it better, and I love to learn. I was reviewed, unbeknownst to me, about 300 edits ago, and given a C rating. The "grade" is not important to me personally, neither is credit in any way. But I have spent some time correcting Bots errors, and perhaps a GA rating would mean fewer robot visits, and more time to further develope this and other articles. I am a born perfectionist, and need to see things through to their logical conclusion, that means ...excellence. I am "polyglote" (multilingual); there is little difference to me between a few languages. So after this English version, I will have the pleasure of making a French one with different sources, and then a Spanish one.

My hope is to get an English version with improved syntax and style, smoothness and readability; indeed, this would be most inspiring for the translation and re-working into my other language versions.

The article references, of which there are over 80, are perfect according to various software like reFill and Proveit. Thus, my questions concern things like,

• - Is the first paragraph in the lead too long?
• - Does the lead have too much detail; should it be more general?
• - In striving really hard for a neutral point of view, have I made it acceptable to Wikipedia but boring?
• - Are the sections in the best order?

I do hope that this might interest you, that I have piqued your curiosity and that you can help me make a better version; even if time is short, as it always is, any feedback from you will help and be much appreciated, to be sure.

You reverted my edit regarding why the Gaston LeGume version as well as the draft he appeared in was rewritten with the following: "I'm afraid I'm going to have to remove this, especially since the sources you provided do not support any such claim."

I'll tell you how exactly at least the first source supported the claim: This is from the first few paragraphs within that source:

"Nearly a half-century after Walt Disney first considered it, "Beauty and the Beast," the fairy tale that evaded the master storyteller, has finally been brought to the big screen.

Hello again, and thoughts on The Little Mermaid remake?

Hello again! Apologies for the super random message lol. I hope you are having an excellent week so far. Since you have worked on several Disney-related articles in the past, I was curious on your opinion on all the casting news regarding the live-action The Little Mermaid film. I am personally not a fan of the live-action remakes; I do not hate them, but I am just not their target audience. Although, I did see Cinderella, which I really enjoyed, and Beauty and the Beast, which I thought was good.

I thought Halle Bailey was an awesome choice for Ariel, but I was very disappointed by Melissa McCarthy being cast as Ursula. I like McCarthy, but the Disney villains (like Ursula) are always my favorite part of the films and I have my doubts on whether or not McCarthy could do justice to the character. There was also a lot recent news about Harry Styles passing on the role of Prince Eric.

Hearing all of this news made me think of you, and I was honestly curious about your opinion. I kind of wish they would do live-action remakes on the more obscure Disney titles, such as Treasure Planet, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, or The Emperor's New Groove (one of my personal favorites), but I can understand why the company would go for the more bankable choices in the Disney Renaissance. With all of these musical adaptations, I just wish that the film version of Wicked was already out or at least a casting announcement lol. Hi there! It's nice to hear from you; I hope you're well. Much like yourself, I'm very ambivalent towards Disney's live-action remake phenomenon, and similarly found Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast to be only remotely watchable at best (the former more-so than the latter, but that's probably because the original Beauty is my favourite animated film of all-time and I probably viewed it through a more critical lense).

Regarding Mermaid..."meh" haha. I'm in love with the idea of Ariel being a woman of colour (I was a staunch advocate for her on social media when her casting was met with racist backlash), and I think Halle will do great (at least she can sing circles around Emma Watson, obviously). I love Melissa McCarthy as much as the next person, and although I'm sure she'll make a funny Ursula, I fear she lacks the "gravitas", camp and theatricality another actress could bring to the role (Glenn Close, Bette Midler, Bernadette Peters, Jenifer Lewis come to mind). I was really hoping Disney would cast a drag queen as Ursula, Ginger Minj for example, in homage to Divine, on whom the character was originally based. But the prospect of the adaptation itself...both worries and excites me. Much like the animated version, setting an entire film underwater is an opportunity for boundless creativity, and Disney could either use this to great effect to enhance pre-existing stories and characters (Cinderella), or play it safe (Beauty and the Beast), but preferably the former. I'd love to know who's playing Sebastian though!

Of all the Disney remakes, I found The Lion King to be the most disappointing thus far. It's not a horrible film (none of the remakes are, to be honest), but taking one of the most acclaimed, dynamic and beautiful films ever made and watering it down into a shadow of itself with flat line readings and neary a hint of originality was a dagger to the heart. I found the issue to be that, despite being animated, Lion is actually quite a grounded, realistic story in comparison to the others, lacking the fantastical elements of the rest of Disney's animated catalog, save for Mufasa's appearance in the clouds. So by removing these few magical elements in favour of hyper-realistic animals void of human emotion, the film simply becomes a nature documentary (a problem even Aladdin, corny as it was, managed to avoid) un-captivating to watch, and not even enough changes to make it worth the price of admission (Nala's characterization was a huge disappointment for me).

I love your idea of Disney re-making some of their lesser-known titles, although honestly at this point I long for them to release something new, or with a "twist" (Mermaid from Ursula's perspective) and preferably fully animated. Not sure how much more of humans standing against

I felt the same way. I actually quite enjoyed how romantic and how much time was given to the Cinderella ball dance scene, but I am a hopeless romantic in that way lol. I had much higher expectations for Beauty and the Beast, particularly because I really like Emma Watson, and it was mostly a letdown. I think Watson would have been a better fir for that cancelled Guillermo del Toro version of Beauty and the Beast. These live-action remakes appear to be Disney's way of getting plenty of cash to support its new streaming service and its crop of new (and probably expensive) shows. And they are certainly making bank lol.

Emma Watson (and Emma-tune) simply doesn't lend herself well to a musical, but if Beauty had been staged as a serious period drama, she may have fared much better, which is a shame because she is by far the weakest singer among the cast. It is hard to beat the Disney machine for sure. All of the live-action remakes are making tons of money, but that does not necessarily make them good. I honestly was only interested in The Beauty and the Beast movie because of Emma Watson's casting, and unfortunately, she was not particularly great in the film. Not everyone is made to be for musicals. I think Watson was only chosen for the stunt casting (which worked to get me into a theater lol) and she was already tied to a Beauty and the Beast property. I think focusing on more dramatic fare would have been a better choice for her career though, which seems to have stalled as of late.

I shouldn't be surprised by the backlash against Halle Bailey, but I was still very disappointed. I love Melissa McCarthy too, particularly in Gilmore Girls, and she showed range in Can You Ever Forgive Me?; I am just uncertain that McCarthy's style of humor fits with Ursula as a character. I would have more confidence in this casting if a better director was at the helm of the film, but Rob Marshall has not made a great film in a while. I had a feeling that they would not choose a drag queen because it would probably hurt the film's international box office. I would have loved Ginger Minj and I saw a lot of support for

Titus Burgess to play the role. Even if they felt like they had to cast a woman, there are so many better options. I feel Queen Latifah

I'm not sure how I feel about Harry Styles as Eric (this might come off as unfair on my part, but it seems like casting a heartthrob like him is simply a way to get more teenage fans into theatre seats), and thought perhaps

Timothee Chalamet would have been a better choice if they wanted to go with a younger, more "boyish" actor, or Jordan Fisher. I only thought of it because I saw a video of someone saying it lol. It was not a conclusion I would jump to, but once it was pointed out, I could see a problem, particularly with Twitter. And that is a real shame tbh. I agree that Harry Styles would have been cast to draw an audience for sure. I think either Timothee or Jordan would be an excellent fit. It would be nice if they expanded on Eric as a character; he is perfectly nice in the original movie, but was a little flat (at least to me). I completely forgot about McCarthy's feature with Streisand. The behind-the-scene video of their duet was really cute, and she does have a cute voice. Maybe she will surprise us; her performance in Can You Ever Forgive Me? showed that she can play something more dramatically so I would hope the director guides her to give a more layer performance because the evilness and terrifying parts of the character definitely need to be there. I genuinely like McCarthy, so I would be really happy for her if she hit this one out of the park (or I should say the ocean lol). Eric is from around that time before Disney princes had much personality, so it would be great to see if Disney will develop him into a fully-realized, rounded character. I saw someone recommend RuPaul for Sebastian, and I would love that. RuPaul is already legendary for his voice, and I would love to see his version of "Under the Sea". There is a lot that could be done with the movie as proven by the stage adaptation. I would love it if they used "I Want the Good Times Back" for the film, but they have never used stage material before so that is unlikely.

RuPaul would definitely be an interesting "take" on the character, but one thing I always loved about Sebastian is his Jamaican accent (as a Caribbean-raised person myself), so my personal choice would be someone who could at least replicate the accent, otherwise it might throw off the whole Calypso-vibe of some of the songs. Weirdly, Will Smith's Genie was actually one of the best parts about Aladdin, second to Naomi Scott's Jasmine. But generally the CGI gave me cheap TV movie vibes, as well as some of the jokes and attempts at humor. In my opinion, the trailers of Frozen 2 seem like Disney is trying to turn the franchise into a new MCU, with all those jarring chase/action scenes and dramatic editing, which is never what the film was intended to be about. As for Moana, I really thought I was the only one who found it overrated!

I can see Will Smith doing a great job, and I respect him for taking on a role that is considered so iconic for another actor. My issue was not with the casting, but with the CGI which is a running issue I have with these live-action remakes. Frozen 2 is 100% a reaction to the popularity of the MCU films. On one hand, I get it because it is important to adapt to new trends. However, I think this idea would have worked more organically in a new film altogether. I am guessing Disney just wants to use the pre-existing Frozen fanbase rather than try something completely new because their previous turn for more action-based films over musicals did not do as well financially (I love Atlantis and Treasure Planet, but their box offices were not that great unfortunately). I have only seen the first half of Moana, and I just never cared to finish it. I thought I was the only person who did not enjoy it too lol. I just did not particularly enjoy the songs and I thought the plot had a weird pacing. Maybe it's because I went into it with such high expectations. I do not mean to sound too negative, because it may just not be for me.

I feel like Disney is almost sleepwalking through Frozen 2, thinking to themselves that no matter what they do with it people will flock to see it in droves because the first one was such a juggernaut. I don't think I've ever seen Treasure Planet, but I definitely wore out Atlantis back when I had it on VHS haha; such an interesting, innovative film that audiences just didn't understand back in the day. Thanks a lot! I've wanted to create an article for Meg for a long time now, but was constantly arguing with myself over whether or not she is considered "notable". Finally I just decided to go for it, and sure enough the internet is laden with articles entirely devoted to her and her development process, so I figured why not (she's also one of my favourite characters, and totally underrated).

I really enjoyed Treasure Planet; it had its flaws and quirks, but I appreciated how Disney was trying for something new and the space twist on Treasure Island was fun. Aoba47Hi there! Sorry about the delayed response; it's been a busy week for me. I haven't seen Frozen 2 yet either; much like yourself, I liked the first film for what it was: an aesthetically pleasing romp with good music, but overall fell somewhere between Hercules and Mulan in terms of actual quality. Although grateful that it essentially reignited public interest in Disney, I wasn't in love with it and don't think I've watched it more than twice. It may be an unfair assumption to make, but no matter how cleverly they market the sequel – even if it turns out to be brilliant, by some miracle – I have a hard time finding its purpose absolutely necessary and still see it as a cash grab (much like the live-action remakes and Toy Story 4, which I felt sort of "meh" about upon watching). However, I will agree that the animation is among the best I've seen in a long time...absolutely gob-smacking. It's crazy how far the technology has advanced in six years, and to eagle-eyed viewers the first film looks almost rudimentary in comparison. Thus, I've found myself more-so reading up and watching little documentaries about its production than being interested in the actual film itself. • No worries. I hope your week has been a good type of busy without nothing too stressful or negative. I actually saw Frozen II a few days ago. I had originally planned on seeing Last Christmas, but the twist killed my interest in it, and the 3-D version of Frozen II happened to be playing at the same time. I actually really enjoyed it for its character development and songs. I agree the recent wave of live-action remakes and unnecessary sequels, like Toy Story 4, seem like cash grabs, but Frozen II seemed to have more heart by comparison. Maybe I am just getting soft lol. With that being said though, there should not be any additional sequels to the Frozen franchise, and the attention should be placed in the original animated features. I am far more interested in Raya and the Last Dragon than the news on the Mulan and The Little Mermaid live-action remakes lol. I am thrilled to see Disney move forward with something original, and according to this source, there are four original ideas being developed so there seems to be some positive things in the works. Makes me think back to the days that I wanted to work as a writer or animator for Disney. That is probably why I am still invested in their animated features lol.

About international dubbings of Disney songs

Hello! I've been around Wikipedia for a few years now. I'm no big member, but I do my stuff, and apparently I do it well, because no one has ever had anything big to say about it in the past 4 years. You can see just a few examples of my contributions

here, here, here or here. Just very few examples of a longer list to show you a type of contribution which, along the years, has apparently gained the approval of most users who've come across them. And if not their approval, at least their indifference, just enough to think there was no good reason to just remove such content. Well, so far I've only met one single user who apparently doesn't like this kind of content and finds it so harmful to ban it entirely from a good number of articles, clearing it up stating that it's "not relevant": you. Please, tell me: if this kind of stuff has gained its place in so many articles, some of which quite big, why should one sole user who doesn't approve it have a right to forbid it from accessing some articles? We keep changing every instant of our lives, we never stay the same, no matter how hard we try. I knew you were a reasonable one. Firstly, one thing I want to reassure you on, as you seem to be very uneasy about it, is this: no, I am not targeting anything or anyone. I’ve been adding this kind of sections for years now on many articles (and since you were asking about big articles,

Let it Go” uploaded on Disney’s main YouTube channel channel was so successful to require a second version of it to be released, this time on Disney’s official Vevo channel, showing the voice-actors behind it, and to be available for digital download.^[4][5][6] But it wasn’t enough! Seeing the growing success of these non-English versions, they even released a complete compilation of all existing versions of the song (42 movie versions + 9 end-credits versions).^[7] Was it over? No. After this huge success of international versions, the following Disney princess received a special dubbing dedicated to the movie’s location in a language that was never involved in Disney dubbings: Tahitian.^[8] Again, a multi-lingual sequence of “How Far I'll Go” was released on the official Vevo channel, featuring of course Tahitian too.^[9] Enough? Of course not. On the wake of the success that this one-time version raised, one year later another one-time special dubbing was made: a Māori version in which many voice-actors from the English cast reprised their roles (e.g. Rachel House and Jemaine Clement). Disney wagered so much on this dubbing that they even released the official soundtrack on their Vevo channel once again.^[10] Well, no need to say that it wasn’t yet over. The song is titled “自己” (“Zìjǐ”) and it’s a cover of the Mandarin version of Aguilera’s version of the song, which was originally performed for the animated movie by Coco Lee, who not only sang the end-credits version of the song, but even voiced Mulan in the movie (Taiwanese version, not Chinese).^[16][17] Thanks to this lovely virus, we don’t know yet what the role of this song in the movie will be. Is it only meant for the Chinese market? Is it for everyone? Hope we’ll find out soon enough. I have been feeling the same tbh. I get a lot of anxiety about it actually. I often get stuck in my own head and have doubts about my ability as a writer. Not sure if that makes any sense lol. As much as I would love a live concert version, I do not think that will ever happen since the absence of Whitney Houston would be sorely missed (and I think it would be a mistake to have anyone replace her as that could get a lot of potential criticism). This is actually one of the few musicals that I love entirely (and I particularly love the song additions to this version) so it does actually inspire me to check out other musicals as well. I know nothing about music (other than how to read music after years of taking band in school) so I would not be qualified to even attempt to write my own musical lol.

• I was actually not aware of Ugly Betty being on Disney Plus so thank you for letting me know that. Those three are my favorite characters too. If I had to pick just one, it would be Amanda as I find her to be the most consistent throughout the show. There's actually a web series that just focuses on Marc and Amanda. Here is a link to a YouTube playlist if you have not watched them. Vanessa Williams is just perfect as Wilhelmina. The villains always have the most fun lol. I've been feeling quite unmotivated with Wikipedia lately so I can understand that. I am glad that you were able to find a project to reinvigorate your excitement for the site. If I ever work on an Ugly Betty article, I will let you know :)

I think she sort of gets the short end of the stick in terms of character development, but she's just so consistently funny that I don't mind. I had no idea about the Amanda-Mark spin-off; thanks for sharing! I'm kind of torn between wishing that they had continued the show for more seasons or if the fourth season wrapped things up nicely. • I also wish Amanda got more character development, but I loved how her relationship with Betty developed over the seasons so at least there's that. The fourth season did a good job with wrapping up everyone's storylines in a nice, clean bow, but I would love to see a limited series about what the characters are up to now. Maybe Betty could come back to New York and we can see how all the characters are doing. Plus, I'd be curious on how they'd handle the Betty/Daniel relationship since the series finale purposefully left that ambiguous. I think one more season is all that is really needed story-wise. Although, I am not sure what the conflict would be, but I'm sure they can think of something lol. As much as I would love a reunion, I'd prefer something scripted if that was a possibility lol.

I definitely think a scripted fifth season would help give fans some closure, even though it's not like the fourth season left us with many unanswered questions. • Good luck with the GAN! You did awesome work on it and you should be proud of it. I'd be curious on how Mode is handled since the state of print publications has changed so much since the show's original run. I'd wonder if they'd somehow address the current discussions on race/racism in the fashion industry and use that as a way to represent Wilhelmina's role as editor-in-chief. Maybe Betty would come back to do some collaboration with Mode? I hope Marc has a stable relationship (and I'm still bummed about his break-up with Cliff lol), and I wouldn't be surprised if Amanda was shown as a stylist (although something about that ending felt a little disappointing to me for some reason). I just hope that if a mini-series happens that they keep its delightfully campy, yet heartfelt approach and do not go too far in either direction.

There are a lot of articles that I would like to work on, but I'm just finding it more and more difficult to justify to myself the time and energy that those projects would need when I could be spending it on more important things. That is a very good question. Interestingly enough, I've been thinking about doing fashion-related projects on here for some time now, and I'd love to work on one of those articles on an individual dress. For some reason, I have just been more interested in fashion lately. For me, I'd love to create an article on the

Letty Lynton dress, which Edith Head

called "the single most important influence on fashion in film history". I think that it is possible for some costumes worn by some animated character to be notable enough to warrant an article, but with that being said, I would make sure you have enough sources to prove that there is substantial coverage from third-party, reliable sources (and ideally from a different time periods to show the influence and longevity of the outfit over time).

I am emphasizing this part because I believe that some editors dislike articles on individual garments. For instance, there was an AFD for a dress worn by Reba McEntire. I was able to provide sources showing it was the subject of multiple articles over a wide span of time, and the article was kept (even though the closing editor was unnecessarily snarky about it). However, the article was later deleted in a second AFD, which completely ignored the sources I had provided. And yes, I am still bitter about it lol.

If I had to guess, I would say either Cinderella or Belle's ballgowns would be the best options. There is a lot of information about the behind the scenes creation of these outfits, critical and public reviews of them at the time and since then, and scholarly analysis. I am less certain about Elsa's ice dress, but if you are interested in that particular one, I would still do your research and see where it goes from there. I would just make sure that you have a solid article and a solid argument for editors who may feel that this information is better suited for the character or film articles. Apologies for repeating this point. I just want to make sure you are aware of it, and I do not mean it to discourage you. I'd love to see the article you create for one of these dresses! I would be more than happy to help in any way that I can.

I've always enjoyed fashion and clothes, particularly fashion in movies and film (The Devil Wears Prada is one of my favourite movies ever, and two of the character articles I've brought to GA thus far – Rachel Green and Denise Huxtable – are considered to be two of the "best-dressed" characters on television). Thank you for the tips about coverage and sources, as I feel that would be the key to making sure that the article doesn't get contested or deleted (especially after putting so much work into it). I'm sorry to hear you had that experience with Reba's dress, as I remember hearing about that dress causing quite the stir when Reba first wore it, and it's still spoken about today. • I'm glad I could help. The Devil Wears Prada is a great film (and I honestly believe Meryl Streep deserved an Oscar for her performance in it). Rachel and Denis both still have pretty fabulous fashions. Belle's dress is a great choice, and you have made a good start with it. It is always rough in the beginning, but a bulk of the article really comes from the revision process. I will be more than happy to contribute to the draft, but I will wait a little bit first so you can continue to build a solid first draft. I am sure you are already aware of this but when Toni Braxton played Belle on Broadway, they changed the dress to be more revealing and sexy. I'd imagine there was coverage on that. I actually really enjoy most variants of this dress, but for some reason, I was pretty disappointed in the 2017 film version of it. I have heard/read whispers here and there that Toni Braxton's costumes were made "sexier" for her tenure as Belle. However, unfortunately I haven't been able to find any verifiable sources supporting this claim, as much as I would like to incorporate it into the article. Regarding the 2017 version of the dress, I won't mince words: I was 100% underwhelmed by the dress, which seems to be an opinion shared by most of the public. I find it so interesting how the older I get, the more and more I sympathize with Miranda as a character (thanks to Meryl; the character could have been completely unsuccessful in the wrong hands). • I love Watson as Hermione. Belle has a lot of similarities with Hermione, and Watson's public persona as a more intellectual person aligns well with both. She is just not a good fit for a musical. She is not a bad singer, and I did not like how they processed her vocals so much in the songs, but there are better casting choices out there. Again, I think Watson would have been perfect for an adaptation of the fairy tale itself, but not the Disney version.
• I love Emmy Rossum (so much love from me lol). I thought she was incredible in Phantom, and I am actually a huge fan of her albums. I also would have 100% been behind casting a black actress (or any actress of colour really) as Belle, which is part of the reason (the only reason, really) that I'm looking forward to the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. Beauty and the Belles: Discourses of Feminism and Femininity in Disneyland and Feminine Empowerment in Disney's Beauty and the Beast are two good examples that I have found. I would use Google Scholar as that is a very helpful resource to find more academic articles and I would experiment with using different search terms.

Aoba47 I totally agree that either one of those Princess Leia outfits would be a great place to start (come to think of it, her "cinnamon bun" hairstyle probably deserves an entire article of its own). I've been itching to revisit and improve some of my older GA articles as well. Unfortunately since a lot of the articles I work on, especially older ones, are Disney characters, they tend to be particularly susceptible to vandalism and overzealous fans contributing unnecessary trivial information, which eventually causes their quality to deteriorate overtime. Aoba47 For sure, more recently I've been skewing towards slightly less popular/mainstream articles to try and avoid this dilemma, and naturally I've found the experience to be much more enjoyable; I just finished nominating Cinderella III: A Twist in Time for GA, which I think turned out well (I'm surprised how much coverage I was able to find on it, considering it's a direct-to-video Disney sequel). Wonderful work with the Cinderella III article. That film probably got more attention because it was one of Disney's last direct-to-video sequels and it seemed to have received a more positive reception than the others so I'd imagine more writers/reviewers were willing to write about and revisit this film because of that. I think I just need to learn to embrace the cringe when looking back on my older work on here lol.

It's NBD really; I had a feeling going into it that this one would give me a bit of a challenge, considering it is not a particularly popular single a large portion of the sources used for reviews/genres – although reliable, in my books – are from college/university newspaper publications. I am doing well, thank you. I've been trying to get back into my creative writing, but I've been feeling weirdly self-conscious so I'm trying to find a way to relax. I've not written in months as I had a part-time job, but since that is now over, I can fully devote myself to writing. I'm probably just putting too much pressure on myself.

That's good that you've been getting back into creative writing. I wish I had that kind of dedication, but I'm working full-time and whatever energy I have left at the end of the day is usually spent working on my side hustle (an online clothing store I launched a few months ago).

I'll probably go back to a character article. I've been doing a lot of music articles lately so I will take a break from that. I could use my next project to finally get into a fashion topic lol. I have postponed it for now. I started it and got a lot of great research together, but then I got busy with work so I abandoned it. It was honestly a mixture of being somewhat overwhelmed and just not having the time and energy to devote to it at the time. One of these days, I will get back to it, but it is not in my immediate plans. I do enjoy going back to the old GAs I had worked on, but I think in the future, I may try working on new articles as it has been a while since I have done that.

That is understandable. You have done a great job with the Rachel haircut so it is something to be proud of and you could always return to it in the future if you'd like. It would most likely be another animated character; the issue is finding one that's notable enough or has enough media coverage to warrant its own article separate from the character who wears it (Cinderella's ballgown almost has toooo much coverage and far too many iterations outside of the film. I've also been toying with the idea of doing Cher Horowitz's (Alicia Silverstone's) yellow outfit from the film Clueless, however I don't consider myself a big enough fan of the film itself to stay interested. I would say that, if anything, Clueless is probably more revered for its costumes than the quality of the film itself (Mona May has made a name for herself designing costumers for teen movies), but it's definitely a classic. Worth a watch, regardless of how you end up feeling about the movie. I did consider Elsa's ice dress at one point; however, I tend to avoid most topics Frozen-related because the fans can be absolutely rabid. Thanks for reminding me about Aurora's dress! To be honest, I haven't even remembered her until now, even though I had gotten her article to GA a few years back. I guess her dress is pretty iconic because it changes colours, even though the character herself tends to be overlooked most of the time. Maybe I'll consider that one. I agree, Sleeping Beauty is definitely one of Disney's most visually beautiful animated films to-date, which I think very few – if any – animated films have come close to matching since. This past weekend I actually purchased what is essentially a "making-of" book about Disney's Cinderella from a local thrift store, completely coincidentally. I haven't had a chance to open/read the book yet, but it's loaded with concept art, and I'm hoping maybe there will be some insight into the design of the dress in there. Hello yet again

I am currently taking a wikibreak until the end of the month (aside from tending to articles and lists on my watchlist). For future projects, I plan on returning to fictional characters, starting with a rewrite for the Kes (Star Trek) article. I've been doing alright, although work has been kicking my butt over the last few weeks; should be calming down within the next few weeks or so *fingers crossed*. In terms of Wikipedia, I've been taking a break from writing new or completely overhauling articles, in favor of revisiting some of my old articles that have fallen into disrepair. I get that, it's crazy now to think that Disney plus was released before the pandemic.

I actually didn't mind Disenchanted, for what it was; I think most critics have been kind of harsh on it. Obviously it's farrrrr inferior to the original, which is probably one of my favourite post-90s Disney movies, but I thought it definitely had potential if the writers had been a little more clever with the concept and cut the run-time by half an hour or so. It is crazy to think that it's already been roughly three years since the pandemic started. Time can really fly by. I'll still watch Disenchanted in the future, but I am not in a huge rush.

It is tough to do a sequel to a movie that people loved so much and I think there were big expectations for it given how long it was since the original's release. I'll let you know if I ever do watch it. I've only listened to a few of the songs, and while I think they all had a solid concept, they just do not see to have the polish or care other Disney musicals had imo.

Looking forward to any Disney films in the future? I'm the worst with this kind of thing. I have lost touch with what's current, and I am just watching older movies and tv shows lol.

Haha that's perfectly reasonable. I've been on a nostalgia trip lately, so I've also been mostly revisiting older Disney animated films, particularly ones from the pre-Renaissance era that I was too young to enjoy/show much interest in when I was younger. As for upcoming Disney movies, the only one I'm really looking forward to seeing is the live-action "Little Mermaid", although the feeling I have towards it is more-so curiosity than actual interest/excitement.

It seems like the entire film and television industry have been on a nostalgia kick lately. I have completely tapped out of the live-action remakes. I respect the work put into them, but they've never been my cup of tea aside from Cinderella which I really enjoyed. The casting choice for Ariel (Halle Bailey) was a great choice and I could see movie coming out well. I love Melissa McCarthy, but I am still not sold on her as Ursula. As much as I love the original movie (and the fairy tale and the television show), I will probably skip it, but I would still be curious to hear your reaction to it.

I fully rolled my eyes at Toy Story 5. It's just beating a dead horse at this point imo. Toy Story 3 had such a great ending, and I have not seen Toy Story 4 so I cannot comment on that one. If they had to do another story in that world, I'd prefer they do some sort of spin-off or bring in new characters, but after Lightyear bombed, I have a feeling that they will just bring back the same old characters to go for the tried and true formula for success.

I'll probably watch Frozen 3. I am already invested at this point. I did rewatch Frozen 2 recently, and it was fine. I was much more impressed with it on my first watch in theaters tbh. I think there is still a fair bit of story tell in the Frozen world so this one did not irritate me as much as the Toy Story announcement. That being said, I just hope

I had a similar reaction to the announcement of Toy Story 5. Like, how many times can we officially say goodbye to these characters. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending and Toy Story 4 was little more than superfluous fluff, although I liked seeing Bo Peep back (even though she is basically a completely different character in this movie). I actually didn't mind Lightyear as a film...although I feel like setting it inside the Toy Story universe was unnecessary, as they had enough material for it to be completely stand-alone considering how many different ways Disney tried to remind us that this isn't the "Buzz" we grew up with. Why not just make a completely original space adventure then?

Frozen 3 just seems to make the most sense out of the sequels announced, because of how much they've expanded the world. I thought 2 was mostly okay but a little convoluted (in the Frozen 2 documentary, they pretty much admit that they had no idea what "the voice" should be pretty much until the production deadline, which definitely shows in the film.

I actually think Melissa McCarthy is a solid dramatic actress when matched with the right director and script. I do see your point about the gravitas though. I don't think we've seen her do a role like that. My primary concern is her singing, and I just do not see her doing "Poor Unfortunate Souls" justice. Unfortunately, I was not surprised Disney did not choose a drag queen for this role, and as bad as this may sound, I immediately knew that would never be a realistic casting option. It sucks because not only would it help to make this remake stand out on its own, but there are so many excellent casting choices out there. I just hope Ursula is done well as she is one of my favorite Disney villains. Hades is great though too. Disney has so many great villains.

I am glad they brought back Bo Peep, but it is a shame that she was just a completely different character. I actually thought the reason for her not being in Toy Story 3 made a lot of sense and added a lot more to the story (in a sadder way though). Growing up, I was a huge fan of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command so I was already predisposed to not want to see Lightyear. I have not seen the movie so I cannot really comment on it, but I do not care for the Zurg twist when reading it out of context (but I just have a soft spot for campy Zurg lol).

Aoba47 I might be in the minority here, but I actually don't mind Elsa having no love interest. Yes, homosexuality is severely (and inexplicably) underrepresented in Disney animated films, specifically queer female characters, but asexuality

is even more unrepresented in media in general, if you ask me. As cute as it would be for Elsa to end up with another female character, pairing her off with someone at this point in the franchise when she has shown little to no romantic interest prior can come off as pandering if not done carefully and respectfully. I've always liked the idea of Elsa not being interested in romance whatsoever because, personality-wise, she's always struck me as someone who is sort of indifferent towards romantic relationships, which is totally valid. I guess the story can argue that Elsa was trying to learn how to love herself before loving others, but I've always resonated with the idea of perpetually single Elsa lol. I would love to see more of Honeymaren though, but not necessarily in a romantic capacity. Had Disney wanted to introduce an explicitly queer female love story into the main Disney Princess franchise (yes, I know, Elsa technically isn't a "Disney Princess"), I feel like they had (and still have) the perfect opportunity to do so with Raya and Namaari. Or just create a queer female character organically from scratch.

Story-wise, I think Frozen 3 has an opportunity to, for the first time, give Anna an arc/storyline that is more (or at least as) interesting as Elsa's. Due to how Frozen 2 was set up, we never really got an opportunity to see how Elsa was as a leader; we can only assume that she was great and her subjects adored her during her reign. I can see Anna struggling with imposter syndrome and dealing with the fact that, in her mind, she can never be as good a queen as her sister, and learning to use what made her and Elsa different to her advantage. I agree with your take on Elsa. In my opinion, she is not presented as queer in any real way in the movies, and this kind of reading seems more like a projection put on her from viewers. I do not mean that in a negative way. I have often shipped characters outside of their canon sexuality, and I think the best part of fandom (whether it be fan fiction, fan art, etc.) is the transformative nature of it all. I more so mentioned it in my response because it is something that is seemingly so often discussed, but I'd prefer the asexual reading as well. I'd rather that they creative queer female characters. I hope they develop Honeymaran and the rest of the Northuldra (especially Ryder) as separate characters. I'd also want to see more of Arendelle in general. I know this was not their intention, but the kingdom and even the palace just seemed really small.

Anna having imposter syndrome seems like the best and most natural progression for character. I could see Kristoff going through a similar experience as after all, he went from being a iceman raised by trolls to a king. As much as I want Anna to get a more developed storyline, I hope the same comes true for Kristoff. I'd love to know more about Elsa's role as queen and I love the idea of Anna's differences and perceived "weaknesses" are in fact her strengths. I just hope they do not give Anna powers lol. As much as I'd love to see Samantha, it may be best to leave it as a joke. They could go more technical and say Samantha was one of Olaf's repressed memories as "water has memory", but that would probably be pushing the joke way too far lol. Looking back, I'm realizing now that my very ranty response about Elsa's sexuality came off as wayyyyyy more accusatory/defensive than I had intended it to, for which I apologize as that was never my intention. Obviously, everyone is more than welcome to envision Elsa paired off with whomever they choose (except a straight man, God forbid lol; no disrespect but I think we can all agree nobody is asking for that), or with no one at all, which is one of the great joys of shipping culture.

Out of all of Frozen's main characters, Kristoff definitely got the weakest storyline. There isn't anything particularly wrong with him as a character, but watching him struggle to propose to Anna for the total 5 minutes he was in the movie was tedious. I think Kristoff and Anna's engagement/marriage is probably best explored in a lightweight animated short format (think Tangled Ever After), but I don't much care for a feature-length continuation. I think it could be interesting to see Kristoff maybe try to track down any trace of his human family by using the Troll's magic, which perhaps they aren't particularly eager to help with as they feel betrayed. Despite Kristoff's obvious love for Anna, she could start doubting whether she is enough for Kristoff because he longs to know more about his family. Or, Anna could go over Kristoff entirely and seek help from the Trolls herself to find Kristoff's family, which causes a rift between the two about boundaries, which Anna already struggles with throughout the franchise.

No need to apologize. I did not view your response as accusatory or defensive. I hope mind did not come across that way either. I was honestly so confused when I first saw all the speculation about Elsa's sexuality. I know "Let It Go" was interpreted as a gay anthem, which is not uncommon for Disney songs as I think others like "Reflection" hold a similar resonance, but I never thought about it. I remember seeing coverage claiming that Elsa and Honeymaran were obviously into each other, and I guess I need to work out more because that is a reach too far for me lol. I hope the next movie focuses more on Elsa's future as I am still not entire sure what means to be "the protector of the Enchanted Forest".

All that said, I am a hopeless romantic so I'd love a storyline about Anna/Kristoff, but I could see a focus on just the engagement and wedding getting annoying or tedious. I love Tangled Ever After so I'd be more than happy with a short. I could also see them opening Frozen III with the wedding as starting with a happy event would provide an excellent contrast to later conflict and provides a good excuse to have everyone together in one space.

I'd love to learn more about the Trolls and your ideas sound solid to me. Further developing the Trolls may also help with explaining more about magic in this world. I've seen praise for Kristoff's role in Frozen II, but I think it's a shame he could have been absent from the film and it would not have changed much. I still hope Hans is brought back in some capacity as he feels like the other major loose thread in the overall story. Random side note, but I wonder if there would ever be a Frozen story without Elsa and Anna? I've seen some people asking for a prequel with Agnarr and Iduna so that's where my question comes from for context.

I have definitely been there before with things so I feel you lol. I am not in a huge rush to watch it, but I have not really kept you with movies. I have still not even seen

I agree; I think starting Frozen III with a wedding provides the perfect excuse for everyone to gather in Arendelle, particularly Elsa as she would need a compelling reason to return to the kingdom. My biggest issue with Frozen II was also Kristoff being almost entirely inconsequential to the plot, in the sense that he could have remained in Arendelle and very little, if anything, would have been affected by his absence. I wouldn't count out the possibility of Disney developing a movie or TV series about Iduna and Agnarr, although I can see them considering the lack of Elsa as particularly risky as she is the franchise's main financial draw.

I think Encanto is probably the best movie Disney/Pixar has released post-Frozen, although it took me a few watches to warm up to it and just appreciate it for what it is. I think we've been conditioned to expect every new movie to be groundbreaking in some way, which simply isn't the mark of a good movie; some films are just straightforward and comforting, which is what Encanto is to me.

I've noticed that within the past 6-5 years or so, Disney has fallen into a trend of releasing movies that revolve around

No need to apologies. I am always happy to hear from you. Life should take priority. It was nice to see Elsa feeling more comfortable to talk to other people, and that really deserved more attention. I hope we see that continue in Frozen III. That would be a organic way of introducing and developing the Northuldra more through her friendships with them. It was nice to even see her connect with the spirits.

Frozen II could have easily had Kristoff stay in Arendelle to help the Trolls protect the Arendelle people and nothing would have needed to be changed. That might have actually made more sense as it could have had a few scenes developing his relationship with the Trolls, and if Anna encouraged him to stay, it would have laid the groundwork for her becoming the queen by focusing on the well-being of her people.

I do not see Disney making anything without Elsa or Anna, but I was curious on your response. I do not see Disney taking that kind of risk by not having Elsa (or Anna and Olaf who are also pretty big draws), but the idea did stick with me after seeing fans bring it up. It would be very different at least lol.

I do see your point about

. Even the most interesting ideas can become stale if they are repeated over multiple years and in multiple movies. I agree that I hope Disney challenges its creators to focus on a different concept.

Wish seems like it has potential, but I could also see some potential stumbling blocks for it. It would help if the creators go into the movie with a clear idea of the story. I completely understand things change (and they should as nothing should be so rigid to skip revision and further inspiration), but I think that is what really hurt Frozen II the most.
