Request for mediation accepted
If you have questions about this bot, please contact the Mediation Committee directly.
- Hello! Generally it's meant to be two-four weeks after the acceptance of the request (I think). If nothing happens by Sunday (two weeks after acceptance) I'll poke some people to try get a response! I myself am avoiding editing Corrib Gas articles totally (even for vandalism and such), so I can't really be any help. You could try bringing it up at WP:COIN if needs be. Yep yep, I'd intended posting my own thoughts at some point this week, then when I saw you'd posted yesterday I thought I'd better get on it! I'll try to do so after the match at some point! Thanks!

MedCab/MedCom
Yep, sure, work away! I'm probably going to be busy for most of today (college work, and if my friend pulls through with a ticket - the match!) but feel to set up another MedCab case (I note Phil's given his approval and Steve's worked talked to some people about it). Sounds good, gimme a shout when you've the page set up. The "vandal" you reverted on Brian O' Driscoll wasn't really being a vandal either, he speaks the truth!! =p Oh, I gave LP a heads up about the COIN section, just to be polite. Thanks! Laters.
- No hassle, sure if I get a bit of free time I'll see what I can do. Ah yeah, don't worry, hopefully mediation'll sort all this out. Enjoy the match, though I know you won't like the result!! ;) Thanks! ™11:14, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Please take not of the link I posted beneath your comment. Whenever something is merged, the edit history related to the merged information need to be retained so the people who wrote it are properly attributed. Deletion is incompatible with merging. (Administrators can perform history mergers, but that is not advisable when there's overlap because it would make it seem like there was an edit war over the content when there wasn't) - Mgm|(talk) 16:26, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- People who suggest merge and delete, usually want to retain the text, but have some objection to the title. Why don't you consider a simple merge and redirect to be the best idea? - Mgm|(talk) 17:35, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Was wondering how long it'd take you ;) I was having flashbacks to the Wales game in the last thirty seconds though, screaming "no penalty, no penalty!!". Good game though, Elsom's some man!
- Yeah I know the feeling - would've been hilarious if Leicester scored and it went to penalties though. The first half of this (Canada game) was shite, it's improving a bit now though, Ireland finally figuring there's space out wide. ™22:34, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- I still wanted Leinster to win, just would've been funny if it went to penalties! The whole passage of play in the first half from Ireland - block the drop goal->Stringer knock on->Duffy (I think?) fucking up the clearance->Dowling not knowing what to do once he got the ball - was a bit crazy. Keatley made a good run there in the last few minutes, seemed like the only point where they actually wanted to win it though! ™22:53, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

I've deleted you CSD tag from Livio Alvaro Bisterzo. A7 doesn't apply because the article does make numerous claims to significance/importance. A PROD tag or AfD would be more appropriate. Cheers, TheLeftorium 10:54, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I have removed the tag you placed on this article. Thanks for uploading File:TommyBowe.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on

Speedy tagging
Hi. Two points about your speedy-tagging of Joe gillespie just now:
- the definition of db-nonsense, WP:FIELD.
- after tagging a page, it's worth checking the author's talk page and leaving an appropriate warning - usually the one provided on the speedy-deletion template. In this case, as the author seems to be a vandalism-only account and already had a level 3 warning, I added {{uw-create4}}, so if he does any more he can be reported to WP:AIV.
Keep up the good work! Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:02, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

The article quite probably fails the notability guidelines, however all that is required to avoid being speedy deleted is an assertion of importance or significance. Userfying autobiographies
Hi. I saw you userfied Samuel Terry Goold's autobio just now: that was a useful thing to do, but there are two follow-up actions to take:
- Add {{db-r2}} to the cross-namespace redirect which is left behind at the original article, so it gets deleted,
- Tell the user what has happened and why. There is a standard template {{Userfy warning}} for this, but I don't like it much and have worked out one which I cut and paste from a text file: you can see what it looks like at User talk:Samgoold, and you are welcome to use or adapt it if you like.
I sometimes think it's a waste of time userfying these autobios, because they almost never carry on contributing, but it is more friendly and less

This arbitration case has been closed and the final decision is available at the link above.
All articles related to Corrib gas controversy and the Shell to Sea campaign are placed under probation. All fall under 1RR, and a stricter rather than laxer interpretation of addition of and removal unsourced content.
Lapsed Pacifist (talk · contribs) is strongly admonished for edit warring and is topic banned, indefinitely, from articles related to the Corrib gas project, broadly defined. He is also subject to an editing restriction for one year, namely is limited to one revert per page per week (except for undisputable vandalism and BLP violations), and is required to discuss any content reversions on the page's talk page.
While GainLine (talk · contribs) is admonished for vandalising BLPs and sockpuppetry, he is also commended for desisting from early problematic behaviours and encouraged to pursue appropriate dispute resolution methods, and seek administrator intervention when required.
Non-compilance to any of the above editing restrictions may result in a block, up to a week in the event of repeated violations. After 5 blocks, the maximum block shall increase to one year.
- For the Arbitration Committee,
- No, those are the main subject articles. If any conflict arises from other articles that is related to this case's core topics (i.e. Corrib gas controversy and Shell to Sea), the restriction would apply. - Mailer Diablo11:05, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

I gave up editing that article more than a year ago as I've found plenty to be getting on with besides articles which are likely to be controversial or cause edit wars. However, any mention of anything negative regarding this person has a habit of disappearing, although sections which appears to treat him more kindly has remained. I am partially responsible for adding the content which is now under "Off-screen personality" and while I can see its use (as positive sources about this person seem to be rarer than negative ones) it should also be possible to include some of the more infamous incidents in his career as well. I don't think the content you added overall has any POV issues. No less than how Kenny describes his style under "Styles of Byrne and Kenny" anyway. I can see how there might be disagreements over use of bullet points, the title of the section maybe, the fact that it appears to unbalance the entire article but there does not appear to be anything wrong with what you added. - at the point Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Rugby_union#Yes you haven't actually entered a vote in the Yes column, just put your contribution in the IF yes section below. I know this is frustrating, and, to be honest, I have suspicious on the bona fides of some of the arguments made. Khavakoz (talk) 15:37, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. I thought I had voted, for the use of provincial flags. Maybe you could point out where I missed and ill throw in my vote. I gave up on this discussion a long time ago, its very frustrating and everytime its come up has ended up being unresolved. G
- Hi Gainline, Just to pop along and note that in the Irish Rugby Flag vote Vote, you haven;t actually cast a vote, despite having made some very decent comments in the subsequent discussion. I'd hate to see your valued comments lost because of a technicality. Khavakoz (talk) 15:59, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
(edit2) and now Gnevin has made a completely neutral call for Editor intervention.Khavakoz (talk) 16:22, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
- I see you're starting to share the frustration I used to experience discussing this, which is why I stopped taking an active part in the discussion. Theres a certain amount of wikilawyering going on and a lot of progress could be made with a dose of common sense. G

Call for consensus/conclusion to current Ireland rugby union team icon
Hello, I am contacting you because you have been an active participant in the recent discussion on icon to be used for Ireland rugby union. I have tried to summarise the many strands and come to a conclusion based on what I perceive the consensus to be in this section - Summary of Ireland Flag discussion and suggested consensus conclusion. To move the issue to a conclusion I am asking all participants who have signed the discussion to read my summary and comment on the validity of the approach I have advocated, before the issue goes cold. I am keen that the enormous efforts of all contributors results in a tangible conclusion on this occasion.Kwib (talk) 16:34, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note and all your hard work on summing things up. FWIW I think the 4 provinces flag is the one to use and see no reason why it shouldn't be with maybe Shamrock second pref. Can be a pretty frustrating debate tho! G
