HI JJMC89. Can you check this file to see whether it's the same as

WP:NFCCP
issues.

If it's a different file, then no big deal; if it's the same file, however, and was just re-uploaded under a different name, then maybe it would better to discuss at FFD if the other file's deletion was challenged on its file talk page (if you feel that will help clarify things). -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:29, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

They are the same file. The previously uploaded one did not have the deletion notice contested on the talk page. — JJMC89 02:58, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello JJMC89,

I would be very grateful if you would repair the Template:FloraBase. It directs to http://florabase.dec.wa.gov.au/browse/profile/ that has been replaced by https://florabase.dpaw.wa.gov.au. Unfortunately, this change will necessitate change to at least 1,000 plant articles that direct to the deadlink, unless I can figure a shortcut (eg. to Eremophila simulans) or your repair will fix the problem.Gderrin (talk) 01:11, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

New Page creation

Hello sir , you have deleted a page on 22nd April 2020 named 'Sayak Chakraborty. And I saw there are lots of Indian news sources. So I just wanted to edit the article. What Photoshop says doesn't matter. The dimensions are right there on the page. — JJMC89 04:58, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
Adjusting the rationale in accordance with WP:IMAGERES, 'where the pixel count approaches 1 megapixel, will very likely require a close review to verify that the image needs that level of resolution. Editors should ensure that the image rationale fully explains the need for such a level of detail. You also may wish to add the non-free no reduce template to the image rationale page to indicate that your image resolution purposely exceeds the 0.1 megapixels guideline, though this still requires you to include a valid rationale that explains this reasoning.' IP 82.79.62.216

Hi JJMC89. Would you mind taking a look at some of this IP’s edits to file pages? A couple I’ve looked at like File:Alfa Romeo logo.png involved either replacing a non-free licenses with a {{PD-self}} ones or adding “PD-self” license to non-free files. No explanation is given for this so it’s not clear if it was a misunderstanding or that the licensing actually needed changing tweaking. It could be where someone added a non-free file to a page, had it removed for some NFCCP reason, and then thought that changing the file’s licensing would make re-adding the file OK. I only noticed this because the Alfa Romeo logo mentioned above was discussed at FFD a few years ago and I still had the file on my watchlist. — Marchjuly (talk) 21:01, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

The IP either doesn't know what they are doing or are being disruptive. I don't think any of the edits were legitimate. — JJMC89 02:45, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for taking a look at this. It appears that most of the edits have been reverted and the IP has been inactive since August 24; so, perhaps this is no longer an issue. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:32, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Speaking of these redirects, since I guess it's better than me making another ~40 fully-protected edit requests, think you'd be able to go through the articles in mainspace in Category:Wikipedia fully protected pages and remove their pp-protecteds, wrap them in a shell? Most have redirect reason templates already, so that makes it a few-seconds job, some don't. Can ignore anything in module space, project space, etc., so really it's just about ~40 pages (not all 130). ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 19:33, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Just letting you know about Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2020 September 5#Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1046#File deletions by Jonteemil as a courtesy since you've started closing some of the FFDs that Jonteemil started on August 14. Some people seem to be advocating that all if not most of the files he nominated on that day be restored. I'm not sure whether that DRV applies to files he added to FFD on that day or just the specific ones listed in the DRV. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:13, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Your bot is broken

Dear Mr. JJCMC89:

I was trying to add the file "Bristol VA and Bristol TN flag.gif" (flag of the twin cities of Bristol, Virginia and Bristol, Tennessee) to Bristol, Virginia, but your bot flagged it as being on a page with "no valid non-free use rationale".

I doubt that's true, since the same image is used on Bristol, Tennessee page without any problems.

Please fix this problem or take the bot offline for repairs.

Dear JJMC89,

I just realized that the article has been deleted due to the following proposed reasons: (1) Not a notable individual. A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. However, there are significant coverage on the individual in reliable secondary sources. (2) overly promotional article: Propose not to delete article. Propose to write article in a factual way.

As the individual has significant coverage in reliable secondary source, I proposed to review the deletion. Hopefully, we can put the wikipage back and edit it to write the article in a factual way. Many thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tatianajames (talkcontribs) 19:02, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Cardumen Capital Deletion Review

Dear user:

I just realized you deleted the entry I created for Cardumen capital due to the following reason: "Weak delete. There is some sourcing ([1], [2], [3]) but (1) I am not familiar with these papers and (2) even if they are reputable, the coverage seems fairly routine and is not a clear pass of WP:ORGIND". Please let me explain you the reliability of the sources mentioned: Source [1]. Globes is a daily business and financial publication that has been the oldest and largest of its kind in Israel. Approximately two hundred thousand people read "Globes" daily. Source [2]. Israel's leading financial newspaper Calcalist launched an English-language news site dedicated to Israeli tech. Calcalistech.com or CTech. CTech is a tech news website focused on the Israel's vibrant technology hub. It delivers in-depth coverage of the latest technology trends. Source [3]. El Referente is an information newspaper for entrepreneurs and startups. It was formed by a premature group of communicators, which seeks to bring the reality that surrounds them and interests the youngest people in Spain and the entire World.

The first two sources are really well known and reputed newspapers in Israel. The third source is a smaller newspaper, born in 2009 in Madrid, to cover the startup ecosystem of Spain.

You can google all the information that I just gave you to confirm these facts.

Hope we can put the wiki page back and continue to filled the venture capital ecosystem of Israel in Wikipedia which I noticed was underrepresented.

Many thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alerogue (talkcontribs) 07:06, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

You should have partipated in the discussion instead of waiting until it was closed. What you've stated may address reliability but does not address independence. — JJMC89 21:00, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
hank you for your message. I'm sorry I got into the discussion once it was closed, I did not notice it before. Regarding independence, both Globes and Calcalist are well known national media. I believe both are independent sources according to Wikipedia rules. El Referente, is a younger and smaller newspaper, created to covered the entrepreneur and startup ecosystem in Spain and around the world. The sources are not press releases or newspapers that depend on advertising revenue. I believe that none of the three fall into the category of non-independent sources stated by Wikipedia (Owner, employees, corporate website or press release, sales brochure, competitor's website). I hope we can put the wiki page back. Thank you!! Alerogue (talk) 11:05, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
They are redressed PR. The second is basically a bunch of quotes from the leadership. — JJMC89 02:22, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
I honestly can tell you they are not undercovered PR and I really encourage you to do a quick search on Google. Regarding the second source, Globes, it is one of most popular daily financial newspapers in Israel, founded in the early 1980s. Here, all English speakers who work at the tech ecosystem read it to keep track of the Israel's business arena. Globes has about 45,000 subscribers representing Israel's elite in management, investment, technology ,marketing, etc. Alerogue (talk) 06:43, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
I'm not going to search for anything. The popularity of a source is not relevant. — JJMC89 23:42, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
It's not popularity what we are discussing. Firstable, you claimed the sources were not independent and I explained you that articles 1 and 2 were coming from strong national independent newspapers really well known in Israel. About the 3 source, it was coming from a smaller newspaper but also independent and not depending on advertising revenue. In second place, as explained, any of them are redressed PR. Calcalist and Globes both have an entry in Wikipedia I encourage you to visit. I hope this info helps. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alerogue (talkcontribs) 15:00, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
That does not make the references independent. Whether there is a Wikipedia article about the publisher is irrelevant. — JJMC89 03:35, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
I know that doesn't make the references independant. I didn't say it does, I was only providing you with more information. I already explained why the references I selected are independent according to Wikipedia in my previous messages. Hope this helps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alerogue (talkcontribs) 07:37, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
Then you are wasting my time. Nothing you have said here makes them independent. — JJMC89 06:38, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

How about this? The closure there was premature, but a late vote was still allowed to stand. The difference between my vote and Maxim's closure was less than one minute, and I have not seen the closure before I placed my vote. ) 07:13, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Ajpolino's was not closed early. The fact that you didn't see the close is irrelevant. The closer would have needed to consider your position, which clearly didn't happen. — JJMC89 07:39, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

JJMC, that vote was within the seven-day time stamp (13:03 is the time I transcluded the RFA) to close and probably should be included, due to edit conflict. I left a message for Maxim yesterday about restoring it, but they have not yet edited. Please stop edit warring over something that Maxim can resolve. Hi JJMC, Many thanks for linking to WP:NFLISTS which I had no idea existed,
Just for future reference - List of buses shouldn't contain any non-free images tho should they as these aren't discussed in detail and or they're not a representative visual reference for other elements in the article so there's basically no justification for non-free files in that article?,
