Gotta admit that I'm quit new to do edits in Wiki posts. However, I've made some changes to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Van because there are a few things on the page that needs updates. Help decide the future of Wikimania

The Wikimedia Foundation is currently running a consultation on the value and planning process of Wikimania, and is open until 18 January 2016. The goals are to (1) build a shared understanding of the value of Wikimania to help guide conference planning and evaluation, and (2) gather broad community input on what new form(s) Wikimania could take (starting in 2018).

After reviewing the consultation, we'd like to hear your feedback on on this survey.

Hi Rsrikanth05 - Kalief was an American, and what happened to him was unforgivable. It doesn't matter if he was black or white or pink or purple. I think his ethnicity can be included as part of his family background section. I don't think he (or anyone) needs to be "labeled". I had to start somewhere.

Thanks for the note as to the philosophy of "Not invented here". However I am ashamed to admit, what I assumed was your intent, seemed obscure to me.

Perhaps if I could find what others say and study those statements.... it might prove helpful.

However I suspect I was not in tune with your thoughts.

Recently I worked closely with a man from India. We met in Chicago. For several weeks we tried to communicate. I came to understand that his passion was to tell his heartfelt story of historical fiction to his people living in the USA and reach new readers.

I helped him all I could and advised him to find someone living in USA who was fluent in both of our languages.

I believe he left me with the information he needed to reach an American readership with a well crafted modern Novel.

I did desire to start a conversation with you ... however unorthodox. I would like to share along the lines of clarification.
