User talk:SDC
Why did you delete the article? I was just beginning to write it!!!!!!! SDC 20:51, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I've single-handedly written several respectable articles for Wikipedia: Sulfur lamp, Comorian franc, and many more. Why not give me the benefit of the doubt? You also might want to take notice that there are already existing links to the article, so it must have some notability.
- I try to apply CSD equally. If it doesn't have a notability assertion, it's an A7 candidate, whether the creator is a newbie or a bureaucrat. Perhaps you're not aware of user subpages-- Use User:SDC/Toddle House, and you can edit the article in your own time, and move to article space when it is complete (including a notability assertion). Let me know if you have further questions. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 20:57, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Nice job with the article. Now that you're done, would you like User:SDC/Toddle House deleted? --Fang Aili talk 13:30, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

FYI, you're missing the 11th street streetcar line. From 11th & monroe (perhaps 9 pixels south of the upshur branch of the georgia avenue streetcar (first branch of that line; halfway between 14th & 11th at that point) south to pennsylvania ave, more or less (it stops a block short, but your diagram probably doesn't have quite enough room for it) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.49.97.183 (talk) 01:47, August 24, 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Romanesca, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://saintpaulsunday.publicradio.org/featured_artists/romanesca.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. - Hi. Sorry I didn't have much time to discuss with you when I logged in earlier. I looked at it again and hope I have now salvaged the situation. The original "Bane" article seems to have been about the Forgotten Realms concept, then someone changed it into a proper article, but then it was moved to wiktionary. I had thought that all the information in the deleted article was in wiktionary, but only part of it was, so I have now done what I have done. If you think it's inappropriate, please feel free to change it. Deb (talk) 16:41, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problems
I was doing some image cleanup tonight and noticed that you had some problems with copyvio uploads...I went back through your upload log to check for other problems. I fixed everything I could, adding a lot of fair use rationales and fixing some sourcing on Library of Congress images, but there are a lot of images that still need work from a copyright standpoint, or will probably have to be deleted due to licensing or non-free content issues. Here's a summary:
Copyright violation
These were from Flickr and were uploaded here with a license different from the license on Flickr, and those licenses aren't considered free on Wikipedia.

Sources needed!
The following images need sources so their copyright status can be established. A lot of these are Library of Congress images that I couldn't track down on a search - I'm happy to help fix the sourcing, but we need some pointers on how to find them. Not everything in the Library of Congress archives is a product of the Federal Government or in the public domain.

Aqueduct Bridge (Potomac River)
You seem to have uploaded most of the images used in Aqueduct Bridge (Potomac River). I'd like to bring these over to Commons, but most of them lack any specificity about their sources (clearly they are PD, but I don't want to see them deleted by someone over-vigilant and over-cautious). Do you have any idea where they come from? - Jmabel | Talk 03:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Swazi lilangeni.jpg
![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cf/Copyright-problem.svg/64px-Copyright-problem.svg.png)
Thank you for uploading File:Swazi lilangeni.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:18, 9 May 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:18, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
File:Streetcars at Treasury.jpg needs authorship information.
The media file you uploaded as File:Streetcars at Treasury.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

Dear SDC,
I just made my first edit in the English Wikipedia to the Article "Anthony R. Dolan", which I see was your article originally. I put in the birthplace and date which I found at this source: http://www.nndb.com/people/659/000214017. This seems to be a good source, but I was hoping you could check it out and see if it seems reliable. First Liberty Bank redirect page
Hello.
Back in 2007 you had created a page for First Liberty Bank which you had made the page to redirect to Bank One Corporation, unfortunately the two organizations are unrelated, according to information provided by federal banking regulators. [3]
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=First_Liberty_Bank&redirect=no
In light of this information, I would suggest either rewriting the First Liberty Bank page or have the page deleted to avoid confusion with Bank One.

Hi, I noticed that on several of your recent edits to weather beacon you added references as only bare links e.g. here and here. Please see that page for more details but the lack of full bibliographic information can cause problems in the future if the URLs change or are no longer accessible.
