Nominator's rationale: This better describes the lives of these ancient women. Follow-up to the splitting of 3rd-century BC women rulers and 4th-century BC women rulers.
Basics: "Queen by marriage" = queen consort. "Queen regent" (over underage son) = women regent. "Queen in her own right" (i.e. not by virtue of marriage to husband, or by regency over underage son) = Queen regnant. As is a common pattern throughout history across the Earth, many queens consort became women regents over their underage son(s) upon the death of their husbands; in a few cases (often ancient Egyptian or Greek), they became queens regnant in their own right. In some ancient Egyptian and Greek cases, queens and kings (or even mother and son) were joint monarchs (co-regents / co-monarchs), but there needs to be evidence for this in the biography, not assumptions. @Austronesier You said at this AfD that Hindustani (aka Hindi–Urdu) is not an official language anywhere in the world: it's Hindi in India and Urdu in Pakistan. When used for offcial purposes, they are very distinct from each other. Perhaps we should then Split List of countries and territories where Hindustani is an official language into ...where Hindi is... and ...where Urdu is..., and Delete Category:Hindustani-speaking countries and territories as inaccurate, or at least as a redundant layer in between? Stavropol can indeed be purged, but otherwise all items seem to fulfill the criteria. The recent renaming of Category:Ukrainian-speaking countries and territories to Category:Countries and territories where Ukrainian is an official language and of Category:Swedish-speaking countries and territories to Category:Countries and territories where Swedish is an official language (agreed, but not yet carried out) have established that former countries and territories may also be included in this category tree of official languages.   • Comment: I can only offer observations in comparison to the equivalent categories for football (I know editors at different sports apply them in different ways), where the X League players category is added to each individual player's article when the player takes part in a match in that league, and is never added to a club article because, as has been stated above, clubs in almost every football system move between divisions and have often been in some other historical systems, so instead the club articles get a X League clubs article as relevant. Clearly the same rule is not being applied to the Swedish Hockey League players cat although my understanding is that European hockey follows the multi-level European football system more closely than it does the closed system at North American hockey. The question is whether it should be repurposed to mirror the football usage (a lot of work), or just deleted. Crowsus (talk) 22:44, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
